I have a nice road bike and the same carrier that you have and it has been fine. Frame has a thin clear plastic wrap round the bit where the clamp touches. Just make sure you don’t do it up too tight.

Conventional power stations are more reliable and produce more energy than a wind farm.
Pollution caused versus energy made is the debate.

I do not understand this thought that wind turbines are green.
    They have to be
    manufactured
    Transported
Have roads built through the countryside to there sites
    Foundations laid
    Maintained
    Limited lifespan

Has a study been done to prove that they are greener than other forms of energy generation when all factors are looked at?

Northwind, I have ordered an orbea rallon. Was meant to be here in Feb but still no sign of it. Not sure anyone in the UK have one yet. Despite what shops claim!

Scotland is generally midge free until middle of May. Still too cold for them. Definitely none out at the moment and even if they were about it is windy so they won’t be around.

Alpine bikes can be good depending on who you get to do the work, but to be honest I haven’t taken my bike to a shop for years.

Mackem, there is tonnes of biking round Aberdeen.

We will probably be leaving Aberdeen early evening. So we would hit Penrith sometime after 8 or 9pm if thats any help?

I had this once, turned out to be much simpler than the above suggestions. It was the cable from the front mech poking out and catching the crank on every revolution.

    Northwind,

Yeah the upgrade prices seem steep. Thats why I just bought the base model and have sourced the other parts I want from elsewhere. Means when I eventually get the bike I will have new bits to take off an sell. Works out much cheaper that way.

I went for the basic model but I upgraded to the BOS shock and Forks. Also got a good deal on hope hoops on flows with it. I have various new bits sitting awaiting the arrival to. Just wish I knew when it would arrive.

Does it not mean you have a leak somewhere that is causing the pressure to drop?

The sealant dries up a bit over time. You will probably find there was not much left in there and thats why it took a while to seal. I would just top up the tyre with a cap full of sealant. Should be fine.

This place gets a good review but is very expensive.

I costed out a Bronson in the same way. It was way cheaper sourcing the parts yourself and you get what you want.

I think this is becoming a more likely senario. My friends Banshee Rune had this issue with a lowrise bar and zero degree stem.

I have been to Morzine twice on a Cannondale Prophet 140mm trail bike. For the odd trail that we rode a bigger bike would have been nice, but in general a trail bike is more than adaquate. You will get a good buzz from nailing past folk on full DH rigs on your wee bike!

To remove the black stains from the glass rub it with some of the ash in the bottom of your stove. Works a treat.

The Carbon frame is £700 more expensive, for what is already an expensive frame. Real world differences? Lighter yes but would you notice the difference? I would spend the £700 pounds I saved on lighter weight better components. But if money isn’t an object, go for it.

I was very lucky and got given a pair of Bose QC3’s and they are amazing. Especially when traveling. Reduces the back ground noise unbelievably well. Still here voices but engine noise , air conditioning almost disapears. Now having owned a pair I would pay the money myself to replace them.

Those extinguishers are rated at 350psi & usually pressurised to 200psi when full of CO2 – I was always nervous of the plastic bottle/sprayer solutions due to the pressures.

I have & do intend to let the air out after each use.

Thought your pressure rating was a bit conservative so I did a bit of research into the pressures involved in these fire extinguishers. Found this info from http://www.fireextinguisherguide.co.uk/types-of-fire-extinguishers/co2-fire-extinguishers/

CO2 extinguishers stores carbon dioxide gas under great pressure (55 bar or 825psi), where the gas becomes a liquid. When you operate the fire extinguisher levers, the pressure is released, the CO2 pressure is reduced by the diffuser (horn) and expands back into a gas, rapidly cooling the surrounding air.

So going by that I think pumping it up to 1 or 2 hundred psi won’t be an issue!

I have a Superstar headset on my Prophet running a tapered fork. Works fine.

I am 6:1 and use a large. Medium would be way too small. Mine will be for sale soon too. Just need my new bike to arrive.

If you can afford it. Another 10% off with code UK10 at the moment. I use 105 myself and it works well, I like it.

I have a superstar one. Its fine but the lower bearing goes gritty after a couple of months. Cheap to replace at about £7ish. It works fine for the price. I would buy a hope one next.

10% off when you spend £99 at the moment. UK10
