    If theya re original pads>

Hope originals from my LBS are around £15 IIRC However I only need a set every few thousnad miles and they come with stainless pins and springs and fit straight in.

    Its what I always buy.

cheapo brake parts – my life is worth more than that

thought you didnt wear a helmet?

shimano Xt if you can afford – reliable and powerful.

I would avoid Any hayes brake- they simply dont last.

    full suss- aluminium
Racing- aluminium (if carbon/ titanium isnt an option)
Fun riding – i would prefer a steel bike, aluminium is a bit harsh up here.

on my first time to golspie people were telling me how hard lactic ladder is, was getting worried/resigned to not managing it. been up there a load of times and never dabbed.

maybe i had the perfect tires for lactic ladder… 😉

Liam, just book it into the shop, your buying the bearings from them anyway, you dont have the tools to do it yourself.

ashima sintered last for a decent time, and are powerful enough. pretty much go to your lbs and buy what sintered pads they have for your brake.

sintered last longer and work better in the wet. organic are cheap if you grow them yourself.

go to your lbs, normally they throw out tonnes of padding from helmets.

Balblair! the only people i know who have ridden there say its the best trail center loop they have ever done, and it really is ace.

Kirroughtee is quite good, although i prefer drumlanrig. Laggan is boring and easy. golspie is decent for a while and glentress is brilliant fun, but not the best. my local trails in strathpeffer and contin do it for me though, because i built a few of them, and because its where i learned to ride! (and spend so many hours training there every week!)

The word 'adolescent' comes from one of two Latin verbs spelt adoleo. One means 'to make bigger' and the other means 'to emit a smell'.

    QI- todays fact.
