the ligament is damaged and a bone is cracked. i got the injury on saturday, and was meant to be racing on sunday, i rode the course sunday morning and it hurt too much. booked into the doctors on monday, for tuesday, and as the pain had started to leave i asumed they would say that it wasnt that bad, maybe a couple of days off at the most. they7 told me i would have to wear a sling for 4 weeks, but to see them in 2 weeks. fingers crossed.

fair enough, i was fresh out of the doctors when i posted that, might have been a little bit rash.

    thanks.

i can afford 4 weeks off, it would just screw up winter training, i wasnt meaning take it off and go mountain biking, only sticking to road.

think il just keep it on and turbo train…

as an easy introduction try this 24 hour race, you can enter as a team of 4. i would advise that…

    easy 24 hour event

confuzzed: that boardwalk is there because you cannot ride properly on the moor, as it is a bog. that is the reason why the dh track is raised.

10UTB is good, maybe have as challenging a course as you can, an event needs to have a distinct feature.

    we have:
3x 10 under the ben/ kirroughtree/ moray, these are easy, summer enduros.
the strathpuffer. 24 hours in the north of scotland. in the middle of winter.
    mayhem,
    relentless 24.

    lots of others.

anyway, what im trying to say is that although these courses are all very good, the event organising is good etc etc. you need to find a gap, something undone.

i can only think of a few ways of doing this. course design: a brilliantly technical course. money incentive: attract pro's.

epicyclo. yes, i am going to be riding a bike for a frail old man. in fact im not even sticking to just one side of suspension, i will in fact be doing it on my trance. trance will be blinged up (hopefully) but i couldnt put ice tyres on the carbon bike, imagine if it scraped?! plastic is the way forward, and next year i'll be riding this! jealous?

anyway. puffer is going to be epic, its the first mtb race of the year, and it marks the start of training having to be ramped up for the start of the year.

entering in a team of 4, at 15 years of age, we dont have the reserves to go it alone. 🙂

same brilliant painful course, restricted numbers, solos are set to fill up in minutes, pairs in hours, and quads in a day.

I can't wait, gives my winter training a focus, be as fit as i can be by february then try and get a lot fitter for the start of the sxc and british races….

i got the elites and they are pretty good, will be getting a lighter set of wheels for racing, but keeping the rhythm's for the tubeless qualities =)

"Ok, i've noticed that some people like to describe themselves as Scottish rather than British, which is fine. My confusion is with those who insist Scots are NOT British?"

people are people, you get it the other way around, people are the same everywhere you go. i dont like any of the SNP bullshit, its a daft idea being independent of britain.

hey richard, see you there, i will hopefully be trying to get a top 8 in the youth category! advice please!: i can get a mud tyre and a crossmark for sunday, no other tyres, whould i use the mud on the front or back, was at the course today and it's super muddy!

thank god they got rid of luca, fair enough he has been at the team for a while, but he isnt racing enough to be competetive.

yes that bit is in the course, there used to be boulder to the right (run off area) but they have now been moved…. aberfoyle was my worst result, a new bike that i hadnt ridden at all until the event, and only one set of tyres and they were semi-slicks….

    good times.

which steps??? there is a section onto a landrover track which is a bit like steps, have never raced there in the past, but im still smarting over how good a track it is. even compared to the other sxc's, fort bill was good and aberfoyle was fun, but badaguish's course is insanly fun

take out the pads, push the pistons out, use silicon lube around the back of the pistons and push back in, this lets the pistons slide back and forth a lot better.

dont buy hayes brakes, they're rubbish. good power and stuff, but they are hopeless for breaking.

we might have to have a team entered in trio just to annoy you, we have around 11 members, i make that out to be another quad, 2 pairs and a trio. one of the squarewheels old folks riders (alek or gordy) can do the solo.

    sorted 🙂
