is it bad that i ride this track Every day and i dont recognise where some of those pic are…?

anyway, we all got our Ice tyres packed? Full mud tyres packed? (best thing in these conditions is a set of medusas…)
full wardrobe packed? extra warm sleeping bag? ski suit for between laps?

    the list goes on…
il be starting a puffer conditions and weather predictions thread when metguess start forecasting that weekend =) this is gonna be fun.

churcherian- us locals are doing you a big favour by riding it right now…. :-). if we werent being so selfless then you would be facing a good foot of unridden, unpassable snow… 😆

…is the rigid ss 29 proflex niche enough?

It's not about niche, it's about having as little bike as possible, and as few things to break as possible.
I'm ok to ride now, so I'll probably hit the course tomorrow.

Drum brakes… heavy arent they? ok ok they're reliable….

so you want to have as little bike as possible, why not carbon… your not going to break it by pushing it… 😈 😯

up untill the 12th it looks like it will be VERY cold. -5 mid day…

training in mud is the best time for me, i love getting out in it, and becuase i go riding in it so much, i've become a lot better at riding in it.

just practice and it becomes easier. or faster. pick one.

it depends where your length comes from, your legs or your torso.
if its from your legs you want to run a shorter stem and run your saddle further forward. if your back is quite long, the opposite with a small frame.

im 5'11 and i ride a 19" XTC race bike. fits me well.

come up north properly, here talking north of inverness here. It is colder than where you are. and wetter. But we have better access rights and fantastic trails. =) you win some you lose some.

they have to re tar the runway to often (and the heating would become less and less effective)

implementing and maintaining the heating would cost far more in the long and short term than using vehicles to shovel snow.

go for the exposure range over hope anyday, their reliability seems to be much better, i own neither, but i see how many are warrantied.

actually, im probably going to buy a maxx-d when my trinewt has finally broken (for the last time)

exactly the same measurements as you, and i use altura attack waterproofs in medium, and they are (just) long enough, and also tight enough. good buy.

Only three Scottish bike shops? What does that tell you?

that to train on a cytech course you have to travel into england?

a nice walk for you epicyclo? i think there is a wee bit of stone pitching going on at the moment, camping is the same , all the way up the firetrack and down at contin.

P.s Course is riding VERY slowly atm, the firetrack is like treacle.

this means nothing however, it will have been snowed on, rained on, frozen (on?), hailed on, but not been shined on in 3 weeks (!) time.

Cycling won't have changed much. Probably loads more electric bikes on the roads.

What will change is the perception of cycling will be more positive as lots more people will be doing it. Cycling infrastructure will be better, which will include cycle lanes and cycle parking / storage.
    but optimism will never die.

look at technologies that are being developed right now, like Di2, and rohloff hubs, and imagine them lighter, and stronger. hey presto (presta?)

how are things richard? Has mtbscotland died? anyway, on topic, the 10 under series, relentless 24, strathpuffer 24, dusk til dawn, strathpuffer lite (12 hour in summer.)

sealskinz to two very good winter gloves £30 and £35. the £30 technical gloves are very good right now, when up here in the north of scotland temperatures are hovering around -5! last winter I used the £35 winter technical gloves and they were good, and i still use them if the ordinary ones are sweaty. To summerise, i would go for the £30 sealskinz technical gloves. They are nice and warm, and thats coming from someone with terrible circulation!

    whats E.T short for?
its cause he had little legs….

whats the difference between a fetish and a perversion?
with a fetish you use a feather, with a perversion you use the entire duck.
