I dont subscirbe to ST, but i get it every month without fail from my LBS.

The magazine itself is much more finished feeling that MBUK, which is too glossy for my liking. The photography in ST is the best of any magazine and the actual word count is much higher than in MBUK (or it seems like it) Mbuk seems to be written for a reader age of around 7; and the best thing about singletrack for me is that it differs from MBUK on this score, in a good way!

I look forward to the magazine every 6 weeks, because every 6 weeks i know the cover will be nice and clean, the photography will be great and the articles superb.

Good job everyone at ST towers, keep up the great magazine!

    ignore idiots like "CKT"

    Well, we have:
Haribo hill- where we stop and eat haribo jelly babies.
    X-ray,
Bill- a skeleton on one of the trails
View rock- the viewpoint (on a rock) above a descent.
camels back- a descent over rocks with two small humps
the widowmaker- a sharp climb lasting a minute.
Tesco tumble- a tricky downhill where local tesco manager fell.
water splash- dont have to explain this?
whales back- a rock with a ridge to it, looks like a- you guessed it.

    there are more.

my opinion is that race kings are better than the other two tyres, and if you want to buy a new tyre, try the more expensive version of the speed king, although is is more of a spring-summer-autumn tyre, deffinately not winter.

yes, lube the chain at this time of year! there is so much grit about that bikes get trashed.

TJ- the puffer trail is my local, can you imagine how bad that is for wear in bikes?!

your not built like a climber then… skinny people are naturally better climbers than stocky people, who have more power.

all for it, splitting an atom to release energy gives out a few million times more energy than burning the same amount.

If you are thinking about patenting the "idea" then dont be an idiot and post on here what it is, because then you arent able to patent. alternatively if you dont care, and you dont want a massive Pharm company patenting it, then post on here and its in public domain….

To celebrate the ordering of my new frame I'm going to perchase some new wheels.

And to celebrate your new wheels, a new drive train? and to celebrate the new drivetrain maybe some control components? wait… thats just custom building a new bike. 😳 🙂

i Keep telling the others in the team theres no point in running at the start! seriously 25 hours and you get people sprinting away at the start… My personal plan is to pace myself all the way through.

im gutted too, i've had mine for years and thought it was all going to come good this weekend! TBH i think there will still be enough ice!!!!!

    cullen-bay
    Free Member

because its not the tyre that is puncturing normally, its the tube, and so no matter what the tyre is made from, if the tube is being pressed between the earth and the rim, it will puncture!

the firetrack only has a small amount of ice on it, and it probably wont have any by tomorrow night, its melting amazingly quickly! anyway, i'm taking mud tyres as well as my ice spikers because after a few laps they might grip better.
