Sorry didnt really read your original post.

firstly- the cube reaction gtc is a superb bike- ive seen and tried one of my friends' ones.

secondly- they have already sold out of them in most places, and i believe cube have run out of them…

they still have some in stock at crc, get one while you can, they wont last long, and once they're gone they've gone.

I would go for the cube over the Lapierre any day, the cube is a lovely carbon frame, and will be faster (the only draw back of the gtc race is the SRAM)

oh, the giant comes in at 23lbs… but i can shave another lb off by changing the seat, seatpost and handlebars =) It is carbon btw… Im thinking of upgrading it at the end of the year, getting the new xtc advanced frame, it looks lovely!

the trance X can just be hammered down hill so nicely, and it still climbs! I wont be trying any other suspension design in a hurry, giants are just built too well and are perfect!

Ton- starting to get a bit late for base miles (although never stop them) but you should start doing a few harder sprint sessions for cross country to "convert" your muscles and make them faster…

EDIT: Barca2 beet me to it!

Most LBS should have a free service with the bike, and be able to move a little on the price of a bike, but if you intend to buy a bike online, don't waste your lbs's time intentionally.

exactly, they are a business, not a demo center. its just not exactly great wasting a shop's time and resources before going and buying the bike elsewhere. They don't give people shots on bikes for the banter y'know. (they do it because they are trying to sell the bike)

How much of a **** are you if your going to waste your LBS's time trying a bike there, and then buying it somewhere else? be a little more considerate, and maybe buy things from your lbs instead, as im sure you ask them questions and things all the time.

When i built up my race bike last year, and put a cheap set of aluminium bars on it, this happened to me as well. Painful stuff… I kept riding with the bars and the pain faded, but I think it was just the change of bars and my weight being shifter forward so that I was pushing back with my hands causing the cramps.
