I did a sixth gear experience which was OK but you only got a couple of laps in each car so just as you were getting the hang of it you changed cars. If you fancy a motorbike based experience Ron Hallam race school at Donnington is brilliant.

I think it remembers if you shuffled last time. Click the button with the 2 crossed arrows when you start track one. Then it plays in order until you turn shuffle back on.

I once poked arm holes in a bin bag at a rave in Oxfordshire somewhere and used it as a coat because it was raining. Does that count?

I find my kids classrooms to be almost perfectly designed as a distracting environment. Every cm of wall space is filled with stuff, there are mobiles hanging from the ceiling and they even have screen savers running on the screens at the side of the room.

There is also a theory that the structure of childrens TV programming is less than helpful in this respect. Can’t remember the exact details but its related to the bitesized nature leading kids to have shorter attention spans.

I’d assumed it wasn’t live and sat there refreshing rather than adding my name.

People out in public (be it drivers, pedestrians, shoppers, cyclists whatever) who are oblivious to their surroundings and/or cannot be bothered to adjust their actions to aid in the general flow of things. For example:
walking 4 abreast down a pavement and not moving for people walking in the opposite direction[/*]
Shoppers placing their trolley beside them in front of the fridge while reading the fine print on every pack of sandwiches stopping everyone else grabbing their BLT and getting out of there as fast as possible[/*]
Drivers blocking side roads so traffic cannot turn in or out until the traffic lights half a mile down the main road change[/*]

My list is endless and if the UK had US style gun laws I’d probably be incarcerated by now…

Example why do you see also those Cadbury’s bars with Oreo chunks or other sh*t in, because the other sh*t is cheaper.

Their best innovation was Dairy Milk Bubbly. Where they have filled the chocolate with Air. Someone must have got a promotion for that idea.

Kraft Foods, who later, in a company renaming approach that would even make contestants on the Apprentice weep, became Mondelez (it’s, apparently a clever concatenation of monde, i.e. world, and delicious. Jesus wept).

They also failed to discover in advance of the new name launch that it sounds just like a term for oral sex in Polish or Russian (can’t remember which)

That comparison breaks down when you look at Canada at 1.88 per 100k – so they are either nicer than comparable countries, or the only thing that really affects it is the yanks just love killing each other.

Canada is very big and far less densely populated so statistically there is a greater distance between people so they need to be a better shot.

Its last accounts show an annual turnover of £18.3 million, and profit of £109,689. In 2015 the company made a loss of £86,594 on a turnover of £20 million.

Clearly from that it shows all they need to do is further reduce turnover to increase profit. This probably explains their customer service model, if they ended up with too many repeat customers it could cost them a fortune.

Just spoke to someone and they said it would be middle of next week before they got through the back log. 15 minutes later they responded to my email saying all the best bargains I ordered were out of stock but that the rest is on its way.

I do appreciate they are a small business and mistakes happen and they have tried to do right by offering me a further 30% discount.

I once watched a convoy coming out of (I assume) Broadmoor when I was round the back of Swinley. They had a bunch of bikes, marked 5 series and big volvo estates and blocked all the entrances to the roundabout before an escorted lorry was brought onto it. The cops in the backs of the marked cars looked very much like they might well have been the armed sort. All in all must have been 4 or 5 cars and the same number of bikes.

I guess the Costa takeout order for a secure hospital must be quite sizeable and given the price of a coffee there its a high value cargo!

I’ve got Nukeproof Horizons. They are still spinning fine and have been used come rain or shine since March this year. However a few good rock strikes have smashed out some pins and cracked the plastic on one corner.

I’ve got a Dartmoor headset in my Hornet (although its not the exact same one as my forks are tapered). No issues so far, bearing still running smooth after minimal maintenance and about a year of riding.

I think you need to hammer the point home that he has screwed you over. If you lay the facts out in plane english you might not have to drill it into him to much but I think if you saw what Cougar wrote he hit the nail on the head, at least thats what I wood do.

Spotify is good for people who like background music. Great for a dinner party I imagine.

I like minimal Techno, makes great background music and its great for dinner parties. There about 700 tracks on the spotify playlist I created for this genre so I reckon you have hit the nail on the head.

As M&S always say this isn’t just any techno this is exquisitively paired back dub techno from Berlin

£9 is now what it costs to get rid of three bags of rubble at my local tip. A day at Grizedale is starting to look like better value all the time.

Bit hard getting the rubble there on a bike though…

I hate the fact that my local centre (Sherwood) car park opens after I want to start riding on some weekends. It forces me to park outside and then when I go back to the car after a quick lap I look like a proper tightwad

Direct line want an additional £400 for My Spitfire, a Dartmoor hardtail and a Planet X roadie.

I get that its more probable that there is a payout for stolen bikes than for a fatal road accident but given the fact one is a max of £6500 and the other could be a payout of millions then the numbers still seem at odds.

Thats exactly what it feels like. With my pikes I had to let some trapped air past the seals with a zip tie but I can’t see any way to do that with the post.

I am a BMW driver – a big shiny showy off one at that. When I first got it I stated I was not going to be ‘one of those BMW drivers’

One of the first proper journeys in it I was going down a 3 lane bi directional road (2 in my way direction and one in the opposite). I was in the middle lane. Its a narrow road for 3 lanes so it feels a bit squeezed in the middle with traffic either side and its not a fast road so I was basically waiting for a gap in the oncoming traffic to pull past the traffic I was over taking (not speeding just slow traffic in the inside). I realised the middle lane was coming to an end and filtered my way into the inside lane. Didn’t feel too aggressive or ‘BMW W@nkery’, that is until I realised I was now between the hearse and the lead car in the funeral procession.

I think that provided suitable ‘confirmation bias’ to any observers.

I do however give cyclists plenty of space.

My last spitty was anodised black and to be honest the finish wasn’t great, the anodising wears badly in places and was so easy to scratch. I much prefer standard coatings

I have found completely the opposite. The finish has been so much more robust than on some of my other bikes. I thought I’d put a massive scratch down it the other day when I dragged my sons pedal along the frame getting it of the car rack but the mark came off with a bit of spit and a rub with my thumb.

    Irreversible – horrible film.

One of the best films I’ve ever seen. Never want to watch it again though.

The Serbian film. Why I watched it I don’t know but out of some form of morbid curiosity I did. Half way through I got paranoid that by downloading something so vile I was now on a government register of some sort…

Our daughter was grabbed by a man in Newcastle when we were there on holiday, pushed away by my wife, he grabbed and kissed our daughter, she is 5.

Thats a bit more sinister than dealing a bit of weed though.

I would imagine the level of response you get from the police depends on the level of crime in your area. If you call the met to suggest the local youth are dealing weed I imagine you’d get a different response to if you called the local rural station.

I also expect that the problems associated with having a dealer living nearby are directly related to the substances they are dealing and if they are a careful dealer with any intelligence then you wouldn’t be able to tell they were there.

I have a similar issue when I bleed mine in that it leaks a bit of fluid between removing the syringes (I use the Epic kit and instructions). I seem to get away with it though. I tie my levers back over night after bleeding and that seems to make a difference (until I transport the bike on its side).

OK so I am planning on getting the Epic Bleed Kit and this seal kit is that the right kit for a rebuild?
