Is there ritual humiliation for failing to achieve? I need the threat of that to get going!

They should call the bank fraud line immediately.

already got her to do that but it will be in the AM.

I’d also be changing any passwords (email etc) asap, assuming she has access from another device (phone?).

likewise. god knows what mess she will cause but it needs to be done ASAFP

Ok I get that you can’t prove that the intent was death but dangerous driving seems a bit understated. Is there nothing in the scale between that’s provable?

I thought the same thing reading this story. My wife and I went backpacking between 2000 and 2001 and would use an internet cafe every few weeks to mail home and tell family we were still alive. Saying that if we had a web enabled mobile in our pocket and social media like todays youth have we’d probably have been in touch slightly more with freinds if not family.

I bought the G29 for the PS4.  I agree with the above comments about the shifter.  In GT Sport if I shift as fast as I would in a real car on the track it tends to throw it into neutral which is annoying.   The paddles work nicely but I would prefer the shifter to work properly for cars that would have one in real life.

With regards to VR it might not look as slick as a big 4k screen but the game play is awesome fun.

One thing I would say is think about how you are going to mount any wheel.  It needs to be solid and in the right position.  I’d love a proper play-seat setup but have nowhere to put it unless it lives in the lounge and the wife’s not massively keen on it.  I got a £50 wheel stand which is OK and adjustable enough to make things OK.  It fits in the cupboard under the stairs when not in use.

Pioneer wego with djay2 would do that. I would think you’d need to go second hand to hit the £100 price mark.

I sincerely hope you dress in the correct footwear for the experience although…a Jaguar… hmmmmm…. hope one doesn’t park it directly outside ones’ club. You wouldn’t want a rig like that to lower the tone

Of course I don’t park it outside the club –  the valet does!

I blame the volume limit on modern headphones and portable music players. Everything sounds better when it’s on the cusp of exploding your eardrums.

Here here!  I miss proper loud gigs as well.  The only place I can get proper volume these days is in my car but then as a 40 year old bloke in a Jag listening to dirty Berlin Techno at volume I must look a proper knob…  oh well, I am at least nearly enough not to care what people think.

Moped crime is relatively easy and requires no specialist skills. What job do you have in mind that can give you a few hundred quid in your pocket in two or three hours?

Can I get one of these jobs too?

    Dealers Needed.

No experience necessary.  Must provide own transport. Ideally something with 2 wheels and a small motor.

i used to live in Maids Moreton. There was rugby club that had a very good turnout on a Sunday for kids rugby with several pitches being used. Trouble was there was next to no parking, so on a Sunday morning the parents would turn up with one child per 4×4 and because the road past the club was busy they would park half on the pavement so you couldn’t walk past. If they were prepared to walk a couple of hundred yards there was enough on street parking available.

After talking to the club with little result it took the best part of 6 weeks of calling the police on a Sunday morning to ticket the cars before things started getting better.

Surely the men’s first team could have saved the police a chore?

for the record I have a 4.2 V8 S4 and I only do about a 2000 miles a year so hardly causing trees to die.

Come on now, even with only 2K per year you could get through of a few rubber trees with that amount of grunt.

Some witnesses said they could see Mr Gibbs’ illuminated bike lights from as far away as 200 yards (182m), while others said they had to “take avoidance action and swerve” to miss him, the court heard.

    That’s quite a wide range.

What about if you or your son went to a wedding in a church, or a funeral? Would you bow your head even though you dont believe, out of respect for others and that’s it’s just the done thing, or both keep your heads up looking round at all the others.

The difference being in one situation you have actively entered a place of worship and the other is a place of education.

I’m in 100% agreement OP. My daughter’s junior school does this sort of thing. It’s not a faith school.  I think learning about all faiths and religions is very important but forced worship shouldn’t have a place in modern education.

It’s also interesting how a non faith school with a multi cultural intake only worships one religion during assembly etc…

Thanks for the advice so far. I’m really trying to balance encouraging him to get active and healthy with not being pushy or strong arming him into something he doesn’t want to do.

My wife works in education with kids who have mental health issues so she’s really good at trying to get his school to do something about the issue. The thing is it needs to be a 2 pronged approach, the school deals with the bullies and my wife and I help my boy become more confident and self assure.

He’s a smart cookie and loves learning he just doesn’t like school at the moment.  I would hate for him to end up hating school.

Its a cover up!  Don’t believe a word of it.  Turns out that MI6 had persuaded senior government officials to indulge their deepest darkest phantasies in the world of feline mutilations so they could control and subvert our parliament.

I reckon all the Lincoln riders should get together and organise an urban downhill race through town like those South American races (but shorter).

Start from the  Stone bow race down the hill finish of down the glory hole onto the Brayford.  Build some obstacles and maybe we could use the spice junkies as moving chicanes.

The Buzzrack ones are pretty good, very solid.

Mine wasn’t .  It rusted very early on in it’s life.  Took a spanner ever time I wanted to connect it to the car.  The locks fell out very early on and it snapped bolts left right and centre. Had it about 4 or 5 years before it felt like the bikes were at risk of falling off.

Just bought a 927 and it made it to France and back with 4 bikes on. Very solid, easy to fit and tips easily to allow boot access.   Much better than the Buzz Rack it replaced.

So having been idly browsing STW while on the phone to Esure to get euro cover added I decided to ask them about a roof rack.  They added it to the policy details and it made no change to the cost of cover.

Still charged me £26 admin fee for a £20 policy change that took all of 2 mins on the phone to change.  If only my hourly rate was that good…

i wonder about the buzzrack Quattro

I had one.  It’s quality was not great. Several bolts snapped and it caused bikes to rub against each other and they needed wrapping in protection before transporting.  Replaced with a Thule Velo Compact but I have not used it in anger yet.

I put a set of DMR V10 Clipless on my full suss.  They’re great.  Never bothered with the pins but being able to shim the platform so it sits closer to the sole has sorted out the foot ache I got with XT 8020s on longer rides although the real issue may be the shoes.

Surely there are pub pubs and then there are family restaurant pubs.  If I was in a pub pub and someone was swearing away like a grimsby fish wife then so be it.  If the establishment in question is marketing itself as a family friendly restaurant then its not appropriate.

Next to my house is a family pub, it markets itself as exactly this with 3/4s of its floor space being restaurant and a smaller bar (they even have kids menus that come with a pot of crayons).  I’ve asked loud sweary types to keep it down before when they were about a foot from my kids and describing a very sordid affair with a lady who liked bum sex.  It seemed fair to ask them to keep it down a bit, if they’d refused I’d have asked the staff to have a stronger word.  Getting all up in the face of a drunk is never going to end well and is not my job.

Calling out racists is always appropriate no matter the establishment…
