i would get body armour and a full face some good deals on descent gear ATM. perhaps get wider bars and a 35mm stem if u already havent , i think im much fast on my trail bike with fox’s 36 RC2’s than my big heavy norco with 888 RCV. the RP23 BV feels really nice so i wouldnt bother with a coil spring shock.

i ride cwmcarn reg with my DH bike, if your only going to ride gawton,FoD and Cwmcarn i wouldnt bother wasting ur money fella. i sold my DH and my XC (4″) and bought a 160mm bike which will cope with all the DH i do.
cwmcarn have been re-serfaced with only one small rock garden.
most DH really dont need 200mm travel IMO unless they are dropping massive drops and doing huge jumps.
keep your cash and upgrade ur bike and buy some nice bling outfits

i had a case the other week with rambblers standing in the middle of the briddle way about 15-20 of them. did move or attempt top move. one stood there with his hands on his hips so i stopped and had a little word only tyo find out he was and english man telling a welsh man i shouldnt be riding there!! it was my local ride and on common land, i think of he wasnt 50+ i might of given him a swift lefty!!
please note nothing against english but im sure an english man wouldnt like a welsh lad to say to stop riding in his land!!

i would look at a 5inch travel bike which you will grow into. im 17st nearly i started with a 100mm FS. i can comment on surry hills as i live in east wales. look at a giant trance cube ams or stereo. im sure you can pick a few 2010 or 2009 bikes online if you have a good look.

iv had K24 K18 RX also shimano XT’s and M4’s on my DH.
iv have tried my brothers elixirs r thought they were ok but no where near as good as any of the formulas. leave shimanos alone
