that long descent in Pila was mind blowing, we only got showed it once and that was wen we was going back to the car so we was all gutted!! some moosive booters there mind and the dust we was kicking up was mental.

not sure where to stay but i had an awesome days riding there. the descent from the chairlift to the river has to be the best trail i have ever ridden. La Thuile is only up the road and thats full of tekkie riding so take your A game there with no hangover.

I stayed in a small town La Rossier on the french boarder, took me about 1 hour + to get to Pila but a straight forward drive.

But cant praise Pila enough and cant wait to ride that trail again

one of the boys i know is selling his Large capra frame with Bos shock. i think hes only road it 3/4 times £2k

i sat on a large and found them too short pretty much like a large nomand (26’er) so with no XL that rules me out.

i cant run any lower than 35psi in my tyres due to being 17st i seem get loads of flats then. im at the max psi on my forks too which is 97psi.

without the spacers they are way too soft, mojo added them for and said it would be better as im a not a suspension guru. i was just curious if anyone noticed the same

im using the maxx d for the bars and a diablo on the head. im sure only a few models work on the bars but 100% with the mounts

i know what your saying about knowing the trail better but i find when riding the cafell i feel that im always in such a high HR where the twrch is much more of a up then down trail

Another thing to throw into the “how do I go faster?” ring sounds daft but remember you’re in a race! At times I find myself sitting and spinning as I would if I was out on a normal ride where I should be out the saddle and going for it…

have you thought about mixing your riding up?
road riding can help your fitness loads, also just go out and session loads of stuff local like corners and drops etc.
a good training session is hill sprints

out of interest what enduro races have you raced?

iv raced in 4 GE this year had a disaster in two but still enjoyed it and made more hungry for the next race. your race can be over after one stage where im guessing you can pull it back on an XC race.

i think its £56 well worth it, trash them and send them back for a new one. you have a limit on them so just time it right.
