The definition of 'pop punk' is slightly wide at times. To me current pop punk bands are like the following.

USA
Dear Landlord
New Bruises
Off With Their Heads
Iron Chic

UK
The Dauntless Elite
The Amistad
Pudge
This, stream of a 4 way split

…although from what you've put in the OP I guess you may be looking for something a little more 'melodic'/pop at times. 😉

At 6"4 I feel like it fits better, this may be all in my head and if I rode the 'right sized' 26" wheel bike I might change my tune, but I'm quite happy with my 29er.

jamesy01 nice idea but your suggested google search didn't actually return what the OP was looking for 😉

You can set up a 'list' that limits what people see and add her to said list. It'll be a bit obvious when she can't see certain things on your profile e.g. pictures/wall etc. if she has other friends where she can see everything, could just claim it's a glitch though. 😉

I think it still technically 'belongs to you' until the council take it so it's possibly theft.

She's not doing it right though, check this out. 🙂

Personally if it's not doing you any harm and she isn't causing a nuisance necessarily, if she wants to root through your cans let her.

@CaptJohn yes think so, my bad…was just grasping for an example most people could relate to.

In my (worthless) opinion, who cares whether crime rates are rising or falling…there has always been 'crime', there probably always will be. Surely the important things to discuss and address are;

Why do people commit crime? (i.e. the root cause, such as poverty as TJ's alluded to)

Should all the 'criminal' acts that people are being convicted of actually be illegal? (e.g. if we all get convicted of trespass for riding 'cheeky' trails the crime rate goes up, but should it even be a 'crime' in the first place?)

I think it's possible to learn from your experiences and try not to repeat those mistakes and actions. Is that a change in personality, or just in behaviour?

From birth:

Leicester->Grimsby->Poole->Durham(Uni)->Basingstoke->London->Poole/Bournemouth->Southampton->Australia->Chelmsford->Southampton->Leeds->Worcester->Malvern.

First 3 or so driven by my dad's job, rest driven by 'seemed a good idea at the time' life choices! 😉

Where shall I go next?

I've been riding off road for 4 months and today was the first wet/muddy ride (well as muddy as the Malvern's get). It was really good fun, although I was going really slowly and taking things easy (no change there then) whilst I got used to the difference in grip etc.

Also saw an awesome rainbow as it was sunshine and really heavy showers whilst I was out. Fair few people out though considering the weather.

Ask her out for low pressure coffee or something. What's the worst she can do? Say no? At least you tried.

@Junkyard I think the internal market was brought in under the Conservative Major government, pre-dates the Labour years.

Now I'm confused as to whether you have V's or canti brakes! 😉

What about something like this? Wider because they are skate shoe styled but still SPD compatible…not sure how hard wearing they are mind.

Up hanger

headset hanger

Top one goes up from the mudguard mount in your forks, bottom hangs down as a replacement to one of the spacers in your headset stack.

You don't need the hanger if you've got V's though…but you'll never stop the judder I don't think (and I found you continually had to fettle to get any stopping power).

I'd get shot and get some canti's and an up hanger…although I don't get much judder with a headset mounted hanger mind.

Totally, 'Verified by Visa' annoys me as well, as it used so infrequently that I just forget what the password is, and then obviously when I need it it stops me using my card. I'm pretty sure it doesn't improve online security too, no evidence to back that up mind.

we're talking aspen on the back right? Think they only come in a 2.1 as 29er tyres not much volume for a front.

Driller you can't get 29er High Rollers though sadly.

Therefore what 29er tyres that are fast rolling and grippy?!

The monkey trail basically starts at a point somewhere along Follow the dog and loops back round to rejoin it.

Not sure on time, but I think the chase trails website will give you a distance for the two.

The climb up and the ride down (on or off road, even if sometimes I can't ride it)
The view from the top.
Learning something new.
Good beer.
Watching awesome bands in tiny pub back rooms.
Everything that squeezes under the banner of 'Punk rock', the louder the better.

Awesome weekend! Was initially a bit knocked for six by the course as so much harder than last year, but happy with what I rode/didn't ride having only been riding in 'anger' for 4 months.

The heckling was brilliant, trying to think up 'anti-heckles' before the DH run was pretty fun too.

Staying up very late and getting very drunk then riding an XC race seemed to work at the time but I feel properly wiped out now.

Thanks to the organisers, marshals and all the people I met and chatted to everyone was really friendly and the atmosphere was just great.

Time to make a list of skills I need to gain before next year!

This is where it falls down.

If you need a new thinner 10 spd chain then surely you might have you have a new ring up front too. How would the new chain cope with the jockey wheels on your 9 speed mech?

I agree with highclimber re: the cassette occupying the same space so it's all about indexing with the shifter assuming no chain issue.

So with actuation ratio the 10 speed specific shifter is pulling more or less cable for a certain distance of movement in the derallieur than the current 9 speed shifter, so you'd never be able to index it correctly with a 9 speed derallieur and 10 speed cassette?
