yeah they've worn but it's not like you can see the carcass yet. Just trying work out if i've been unlucky or if it's time to invest in some new tyres. Miles wise they've probably done 2000+

MMA Sports is the UK distributor as far as I was aware. http://www.mmasports.com/

…any warranty though should be through the retailer you bought them from though I believe.

Nothing off road but cycling to Birmingham (32 miles ish) then going on the piss, staying over and cycling back on Sunday.

Basically the choice goes money on fuel in the car or money on beer in me. 😉

Saw a few in Malvern, cloud had passed by time I went out 20 minutes or so ago…less light pollution in the sticks as well so night sky is pretty impressive. Got hungry though after about 10 minutes. 😉

Clink it's because you linked to the page in the flickr account not the actually picture (jpeg) file.

Waderider, got a link to back that up?

I found two issues via a search, one (history bringing back secure info) which appears to not exist any more as far as I can see and two (Chrome sending info you type in the address bar to the search provider) which you can disable in the options.

I've just realised that I clearly have entered and ridden a bicycle race!

Edit that to "I have never ridden a road race" 🙂

Settle loop (either the one linked to in that thread or one of the ones in the trail guide on here)

Or the Ogden/Halifax one mentioned.

…both sort of on the way. I've only ridden the medium settle loop off here of those mentioned.

Stuff I've never done but would like to:

I've never entered a bicycle race.
I've never been 'on tour' with a band I actually play in.
I've never been 'cycle touring' or whatever you want to call it.
I've never been to the Tour de France.

Strangely I've never seen the northern lights either although I've been to Iceland twice. Have seen the midnight sun/midday dark technically although it rains so much in Iceland it's just light or dark with cloud. 😉

performed on stage in front of sold out crowds

How big was the venue though and were you the 'main event'?

I've done a hell of a lot…with hopefully a lot more to come, most of it pretty dumb and not that impressive. 🙂

My guess is that XP is probably your underlying problem…is it the original install?

If so might be time for a new fresh install or switch to the wonderful world of linux. 🙂

Chrome works faster for me than Firefox, very few problems at all.

On facebook you can create 'lists' which limit what people can see of your profile/pictures/status updates etc.

Create one where they can't see anything, accept the request and add them to it…they're happy as you're their friend (and they can message you) but they can't go snooping into any of your profile information or read that status update from 4am when you'd had far too much to drink!

Paging mboy! 😉

There's not much in Worcester itself that I know of (but I've only lived 'here' briefly, moving in 1 1/2 weeks) but the Malverns are on your doorstep.

This might be of use too http://www.ledburymtb.net/index.php

Think they have minimal or pretty much no padding, just a double layer to protect against wear…I think. (anyone confirm?)

Yes it's Mark Anthony, I ordered some spokes (not those though) from there (twice on separate occasions) and they turned up relatively* quickly and everything.

*within a week to ten days. 🙄

It's a little bit out of Lyndhurst (Emery Down) but the New Forest Inn has a great little beer garden, no idea on the food though.

oh and if you go to the cycling centre place (the first one you come to) in the station car park you can get a free hard copy of the cycling maps.

I can't sit at home drinking beer and listening to records all the time! 🙂

I love the fact that I can go riding and my head will be miles away lost in thoughts of something else but still turning the pedals but yet another time all I will be concentrating on is the 'ride' and the world outside of that doesn't exist. Just seems to help me chill out and forget about any stress in my life.

Ok this is not helpful at all but I had a (few) awesome pint(s) of ale in The South Western in Southampton which I'm sure were from a Dorset brewery, I thought that there was a ship on the badge and Purbeck in the name but can't find anything that rings a bell on Google. 🙁

Zinn says:

I have done numerous crank length tests for VeloNews and the results show that (1)there is no one crank length that works for a given body size and (2) standard stock crank lengths are arbritrary. It's worth experimenting to see what you like.

Personally as you're only 5ft 11 I reckon 172.5mm would see you right, but you do have quite a long inside leg for your height (I think), if you intend to do a lot of hill climbs then maybe track down a 175mm crank length they do exist for 105 (I have one on my road single speed).

5700 is the newer version of 105 which looks (and I guess has some of the design elements) a bit like Ultegra/Dura-ace…not sure why it would be cheaper than 5600 unless they've lowered the price as well.

Do Head for the Hills in Dorking do Singular demo's? They're not a massive distance from Bucks are they?

I like riding rigid (steel forks) on my Singular Swift but there are times especially in places that are particularly rocky that I definitely would like some suspension (Singletrack weekender for example) however I can't see me being able to afford any any time soon. 🙁
You won't die.

tazzymtb my beard doesn't appear to be growing what am I doing wrong?
My biceps appear to be swelling though. Rigid good for the 'guns'? 🙄

Don't you need the specific mounting bracket for Tektro brakes not a Shimano one?

i.e. one of these (that are out of stock) http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?PartnerID=2771&ModelID=35541

Spa Cycles ?

Although their 'stock' builds are on Rigida rims generally. But a handbuilt wheelset, 105 on Rigida Chrina is £191.00
