"Def agree with the feeling better/more awake/more alert after riding in"

+1 to this, commuting is fun even when it's terrible (i.e. when the weather or other road users are against you). The last hour at work I'm always half thinking about riding home. 🙂

How fit are you, how hilly is it where you live and how far are you going to be riding?

Thanks for that…done some further digging on those areas and wow getting from Leeds to Thirsk by train is harder than it should be. 😉

I'm having an issue with them at the moment that I can 'fund' my account from my bank account but not withdraw money from paypal into it…for no apparent reason.

    Customer service is pretty dire.

    I wish I wasn’t so sunburnt. 😉

I get it, and I agree with D0NK…I think it’s due to the fact that people seem to be utterly selfish when commuting for the sake of arriving at work a few seconds earlier.

As far as I am aware the solar panel is for the front lights.

Having the knowledge about building bikes with car tyres could prove very useful when the oil runs out so I’m all for it! 🙂

    I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

Is recycled bikes in headingley worth giving photos too, I know he buys second hand bikes so they may try to offload them there.

Also Armley Cash Converters at the bottom of town street?

Well he’s still posting on here I think so I hope it’s a misunderstanding.

They were an integral part of CSI:NY last weekend.

In addition to the bike polo reference a few weeks ago I think someone in the production team is a ‘cyclist’ 😉

Block up all the gaps that it is using to get in and out of the oven?

    Drawbacks to this plan are:

    1. Dead mouse in oven.
    2. Possible fire/asphysixiation as I think ovens probably need adequate ventilation.

    Dislike = {N x [(a + t + m + l) x r x d] – (f + b)}

    = (1.5 x ((0.75 + 1.5 + 100 + 0) x 1 x 2) – (2 + 3))

    t in hours per week
m in £ per month, plus I divided the total cost of my bike by 12.
r is a scale of 1 to 10 for rarity, 1 being not rare at all
d again is a scale of 1 to 10 for dirtiness, 1 being the cleanest.
f again scale of 1 to 10, 1 being no interest in bikes.
b, 1 point per activity? Per month score

    Decided c/h wasn’t require especially with ‘f’

    Result = 304.75

Tom, if you didn’t ride so fast on training rides we could practice group riding! 😉

(That’s if you are who I think you are)

I started getting stabbing pains in my left knee at 50 miles in so I only managed 100 miles sadly. Getting on the wagon at the top of Blch2 was disappointing.

I also seemed to end up riding on my own quite a lot, especially after the 1st feed stop when everyone seemed to disappear. People were generally chatty if you spoke to them, but I think a lot of people (myself included) were just putting their heads down and getting on with it at times.

I am, furthest I’ve done in training is 80 miles so my target is to finish and not get picked up by the broom wagon.

If (when) you pass a very slow tricross sport say hello! 🙂

34 should be fine for hills, my triple is 50-39-30 and I’ve never used the granny ring on the hills on my commute even with a 12-23 cassette. I regularly pass people spinning away on mountain bikes not really going anywhere. 😉

As to whether it will hold up to mud/crap, I don’t necessarily think it should be any worse than any other chainset if you clean/service regularly. The amount of crap/salt there is on the ‘roads’ in the winter sometimes it doesn’t seem that much different to riding on a bridleway!

Do vegetarian shoes in Brighton (and on the web) still do a ‘skate’ shoe? I switched to these from Vans and never looked back. Although they are hit and miss, I’ve had pairs last me months and pairs last me years!

I only skim read the thread but I read elsewhere 2014-2015 before they’re widely available on the forecort.

I am really worried about the no sound element!

Is it worth noting that ‘far-left’ politics generally doesn’t agree with the democratic system currently in place and therefore tends to not participate.

Some in the left argue that this then lets the ‘far-right’ prosper within this system, some others argue that the ‘left’ should put more effort into dismantling the system and re-building it in a fairer more representational way.
