I got the 8000P off ebay three years ago. It had been in storage for over 20 yrs and was in great condition. the 8000A I got from ebay 6 years ago after my Cyrus One died. The 8000A is less forward and aggressive compared to the Cyrus but has a better sound stage I find. Adding the 8000P brought some more grip and weight to the sound – a bit closer to the Mission. I think it also opens the airiness out further.
The combo is very flexible in terms of the speaker output combinations which is interesting to experiment with. I have mine kinda bi-wired and bi-amped. The HF on the Tannoys run off the 8000A Direct speaker line, the pre-amp out on the 8000A connects to the 8000P which runs the LF on the Tannoys. I have the 8000A Switched speaker line connected to the Sub.

i am 5’11”. tried the M and the L. both would have been fine but L felt better with the dropper down – more “in” the bike feeling – which is what LLS geometry is partially about. so i went L

Put the crate somewhere close so she can see and smell you at night. Dogs are social.
My lab sleeps on the floor outside our bedrooms. We used the crate till she was house trained and moved onto a dog bed after that.

I had similar problem a couple of years ago. My solution was a music fidelity v-dac with an apple airport express. Stream spotify over wifi to the airport and then from the airport optically into the v-dac and then into amp (an old audilolab A8000). I went with wifi as running a USB cable across the room from pc to amp was a non starter. USB over more than. 3m is not a good idea. For the money it sounds very nice similar to my old arcam cd player. u need a wee bit of software called airfoil to capture the stream.

I also use an iPod touch and a dock from richer sounds. Airfoil have an app the let’s the iPod accept the stream from the airfoil app on the pc. The dock is about £20 and the dac on the iPod sounds ok through a Denon pma250 (another old one) into a wee set of wharfdale diamonds.

I flew planes and helis for years. A good option for low cost fun is a Zagi or similar type flying wing.

Most good model shops will have them.

i had this exact problem. the ridge tile is supposed to be vented as well as the vents at the soffits. sometimes roofers lay the felt over the apex of the roof and thus block and ventilation through the ridge tile. this was what was wrong with my roof and it caused lots of condensation like you described whenever it was cold. my neighbour is a roofer and he said to simply make a cut in the felt with a stanley knife or similar and take around a 1cm strip of felt out all along the ridge and under the ridge tile – worked a treat. I’ve had around 600mm of insulation already and this worked for me.
