Wheel size has nothing to do with speed?
Someone better tell all those guys who are **** off £thousands on 29ers…

HoratioHufnagel> It arrives at kingscross at 8am – standing room only (sometimes not even that. :/ )
ANYway, back to a moulton. Does ‘seperable’ not mean ‘folding’ then?

And good grief that Airnimal is an ugly moose.

FWIW I had a 140Talas on my slotdrop SS inbred. rode fine on 100-120-140, but tbh only put it up to 140 for hucking and the odd decent in the peaks so used it on 100 most of the time. There are a couple of nice sized drops at chicksands which didn’t bang through the travel at 120, so the 140 setting was really for slowing the steering and steadying it all down on the steep stuff rather than needing the extra travel.

Also: I totally failed to break it.
Lets hope it fails catastrophically in the hands of the **** that knicked it & he has a very nasty injury as a result.

joint 1st: Tranny TransAm and a Primus Commuter Cup.
my fav ride so far and & a still hot post-ride coffee in the car park.

    Wonderful.

Worst: Stella Artois. Reassuringly cheap, tastes acceptable, always leaves me with a headache. Damn you Inbev UK ltd and your belgian pasteurised mass produced golden pilsner.

Met a guy called Ian who had one at Woburn the other week. He said that the only down side was the matt paint was a bugger to clean.
Other than that – it looked bloody lovely.
Can’t help thinking that some (many/most/all but the real fittest of enthusiasts) won’t cope with 1×10 in an All Mountain situation & will want the 2×10 version tho.

You’re breaking wheels at Woburn? Blimey, i think i need to man up a bit as i find there isn’t a lot there to break stuff on (assuming you aren’t catching serious airtime in the jumps bowl?)

You just need to ride it faster ;)
I’m riding at 9:30 tomorrow if you want to come see the interesting bits outside of the park.
Top of Church Road, Woburn Sands.

I think the pussypelmet dress she wore was the one which caused a ruckus.

I Misspoke: what I meant was “I will take the footage of my chase and add it to my private collection.”
I may post a link to it – if it isn’t too incriminating. ;)

    Hell! I’m damn fit!
    … & I plan to start by 3days a week and work up ;)
Plus: if push comes to shove or the weather is really hanging, I can always wimp out & get the train, but if i do that, I won’t be buff by March ;)

So We think Langster is the answer?
ok, well I’m 5’9 and ride an 18inch Tranny with a 50mm stem. What size Langster do i need?

    Have you been to Italy?
The idea of the Italians or Spanish (for that matter) passing a law and then actually enforcing it is frankly as about as likely as a Greek paying tax.

@Jambalya, as you paid your debt off I presume you are single… but are you a british national (Domiciled in the UK)?

I only ask as british domiciles pay IHT on world wide assets (as far as i know) so an offshore home would be part of the IHTable estate.

    “Why do people buy houses?”

    1. CGT free investment
    2. substantial gearing from a 20-25% deposit
    3. You can live in (plus keep secure & improve the investment property).

    Have I missed any?

I never really got why SRAM went with this approach on the Avid brakes – It’s not as if the tolerances on the other components shift the caliper out of sq to the disk & really make much of a difference to the ‘brake experience’.

my SLX is just on the way out (as is the bottom iS-3 headset bearing) after 13months hammering of 3-4 rides a week in woburn, bedfordshire bogfest & regular jet washing through the ‘summer’.

I think I’m pretty happy with that. Do I have low expectations?

I hold a joint Strava KOM in Chicksands, joint with Tom Dowie (pro-rider).
I also raced the same section on sunday, with Tom Dowie.

    My actual time: 28secs.
    Toms actual time: 22secs

    Strava sucks.
