Well done nickname you definitely did the right thing there today by helping the lady out. Dementia is a terrible thing to have & can leave the individual confused, angry & very frightened. I have just come back from a visit today to Mrs C B’s uncle who sadly has dementia but who is thankfully currently in secure residential NHS accommodation where he is cared for 24/7. It is very upsetting for my wife to see this once very proud & very strong man reduced to a shadow of his former self, even to the point that today he couldn’t remember what he had for dinner 30mins before & who still thinks he is living in the 1980’s.

The advice above is all good & I would second trying to get hold of a relative’s telephone number so you can ring them if she is found confused & vulnerable again. If she is a danger to herself in her current state of dementia, which will unfortunately only progressively get worse, then she may need to be moved to a place of safety asap.

Yep I’ve got one – see pic below. IMHO it’s a great all mountain bike – i’ve just got to learn how to ride it properly :D

It is a very versatile bike which climbs well & descends even better. The kit on it is top notch Fox TALAS forks 100/120/140mm & RP23 shock, Raceface bars/seatpost/stem/cranks, Mavic Cross ride wheel set, Formula ORO K24 brakes. I’ve changed the WTB tyres to something more UK trail friendly & put on a saddle from my old bike (the WTB Shadow was too hard on my delicate posterior).

I’ve ridden my bike on Dartmoor, Haldon, Exmoor, Afan, Cwm Carn & the Brecon Beacons with no mechanical breakdowns or issues. I’ve done all day epics which on this bike is a lot easier on the body than a HT. I can honestly say I love my ETSX50 – just don’t tell the wife :o)

If you can I would suggest you try to have a test ride on the bike before you buy just to see if you like it.

“Have you incurred any expenses which have not been reimbursed while working for 10ACT Limited ? Expenses incurred that have not been reimbursed?” [YES/NO] dropdown

I have been fully reimbursed with these expenses therefore presumably I just click NO.

From the information you have supplied the answer to the question is ‘NO’. This question is on the Tax return for those people who incur work related expenses but they aren’t reimbursed by the employer.

You will however have to include on the Tax return the details of the expenses paid to you by your employer (you can find this on the form P11D) & then claim an equivalent figure as an allowable work related expense.

My commute is 15 miles each way across the Devon/Cornwall border. However due to the poor country roads with no lighting etc I don’t commute during the winter months as IMHO it is far too dangerous & Mrs B will not allow me too and I always do as I’m told :o)

In the Summer months I try to ride in 3 or 4 times a week to build up my fitness & on the other day I play 5-a-side for an hour. I try to have a combined commuting time of less than 2 hours & I have managed to achieve this to date. I have also noticed that I am far happier & less stressed in work when I commute? perhaps it’s just me.

I wish it would automatically go to the last page of a thread when you click it. I’ve lost count of the amount of times I scroll all the way down and read a post that seems vaguely familiar before realising there are 2 more pages!

If you click on ‘latest reply’ on the top of the thread it takes you there :o)
