ring them up to make sure your future father-in-law is gonna be there – cos you’ll look a right berk if he’s out after driving all that way – then ask him face to face. He will appreciate the big effort you made to ask for his permission & you never know when this good one deed could be to your advantage in the future.

Good luck & don’t forget to buy your future mother-in-law a little pressie (flowers, choccys, etc) as your future wife is also her little girl too 🙂

If they are only 10 months old then they should still be under warranty, take them back to where you bought them or contact Propel yourself to get it sorted. As rhid said there are known problems with the K24’s & you really need them put right by the importer/distributer. I had trouble with my K24’s & after they were returned to Propel for attention they have been awesome yet again.

with the danger of starting yet another Superstar thread IMHO the SS organic ones 4 pairs for less than £20 is great value. I’ve never had one where the pad has fallen off the backing plate, they work well & last OK. The OEM ones were £15 a pair from my LBS 🙂

I_Ache I sympathise with you mate however it looks in this case like a very unfortunate timing issue with your wife ceasing employment prior to 5th April & all outstanding monies due to her being paid in the same tax year 😥

On the positive side here is a link to the HMRC Website so you can sort out how to claim any Tax refund after 5th April 2009 😀

Good luck to you, Mrs I_Ache & all I_Aches jnr.

I_Ache I think you answered your own question when you said “No thats it she has finished there now no longer an employee.”

It looks as if the money your wife’s employer has paid to your wife was an amount that she was legally entitled to, however as she is now no longer an employee then they would have had to pay it in one go hence the large Tax deduction. Your wife will now have to wait until after 5th April before she can make a claim for any tax overpaid in 2008/09.

With all due respect you stated your wife worked for a Large Accounting Firm & IMHO I wouldn’t expect someone with a financial background getting something like this incorrect.

na we eat them off the back of a nekid girl, jam and cream spread seperately..

Hmmmmmm ‘nekid girl, jam & cream’………….. on second thoughts & with the greatest respect to Mrs Dibbs snr I think I’d like a Zummerzet scone afterall 😛

    crispybacon

which came first the chicken or the egg?

    crispybacon

well then if Mrs Dibbs snr says cream first on the scone then I suppose I’d better try it that way just the once. I only hope I don’t get caught by the Kernow cream tea Plod on the way home tho 🙂

So if the Cornish & Devonians have different jam/cream/scone habits how do you Zummerzet geezers eat yours? probably with a pint of cider & The Wurzels playing in the background 😉
