I bought some Hope QR’s to bling up my bike but had probs with them coming loose on more than one occasion even when done up really tight? I thought it was just me but after reading others have had the same issue maybe not. Went back to the OEM ones & everythings been fine.

I do sometimes find that if I over tighten them then I get disc brake rub/squeal so back them off a touch & no probs.

It really depends on when you come down & where you are staying but you might like to check out the Cornwall MTB site – link HERE[/url] – and in particular the ‘meet sheet’ section. They tend to meet up each week somewhere in Cornwall for a ride & they will know where the best bits are 🙂

Ok i’ve changed the gaps to the number 6 instead, if you copy the above & remove the two numbers 6 inside the first & last brackets then it should link your picture onto STW – fingers crossed…

I was pleased to be able to contribute some sponsorship money to what for me is a very real issue at the moment.

The large zig-zag wound in my shoulder will heal & fade in time however I’m not so sure the mental scars will go away quite so quickly. On the whole I’m a fairly positive up beat person (which I hope comes out in my STW persona) but after the recent events I’m having a very hard time keeping things together. One minute I’m happy as Larry then the next I’m thinking some really dark thoughts & this emotional roller coaster is doing my head in. At the moment I’m taking things one day at a time & setting small goals – not breaking down in front of Mrs B when she gets home from work being today’s goal.

Hi TN, after some devastating news a few weeks ago yesterday I had a ‘wide local excision’ which has left me with over 30 stitches in my shoulder & my arm in a sling. On the plus side I’m not allowed to do any domestic chores until the stitches come out (22nd May) 😆 but on the minus side no off road biking for 6 weeks 😥

Basically I’m off work at home for the next two weeks with only day-time TV & my PC/STW to keep me company – so I apologise now if I start acting like a nob, it’s the meds honest!!

WOW – what a way to go almost beaten to death by your own Ti singlespeed, are you an organ donor? you should have stayed at home to look after the dog 😉
