My day started great, my boss agreed with my suggestion regarding a very awkward customer, then got my head down & got a shed load of work done on another project – a good day so far.

Then after lunch it started to rain, this then started to turn to sleet. Wife rings me up to say it's snowing where she works which is 20 miles away but only 10 miles from where we live. Sleet then turns to snow & then wife rings up to say due to the bad conditions she has been sent home. I tell my boss who promptly sends me home too.

Drive to within 3 miles of home & the snow is now giving it large, manage to mince home OK & thankfully find my wife has made it home too, & the day started so well to 😕

although I also use a mudguard to stop the worst of the wet mud going up my back 🙂

I use a dirtmonkey I bought from Halfrauds (Oh the shame 😕 ) for about £10 it is set about 4 inches from the tyre to avoid it hitting the wheel hence the need for the waterproof shorts.

probably not, the forecast is not looking good for Sunday with more snow.

Is Newnham park rideable at the moment?

There is a good 4 to 6 inches of snow here in pastyland where I live & it's now turning to sheet ice 😕

rather than the one you posted.

I've had a look on your flickr page & when I click on your pics I don't get the same layout as mine – copy the pic link above & look at my flickr page to see what I mean.

I bought a pair of these tyres to fit on Mavic rims. One went on OK with a little resistance the other one I couldn't get the last 5 inches of bead on no matter what I did (even tried metal tyre levers) & gave up. It then took me another 45mins to get the bloody thing off the rim – Grrrr.

I gave the second one to a mate & he had the same fun & games trying to get it on & even he gave up.

Anyone want a brand new Bonti ACX TR tyre??

    OK I hope this works.

First you need to click on your picture in Flickr & then click on 'All sizes', when the picture open up right click on it & click on 'Copy Image location'.

On STW post click on 'IMG', then paste your picture location in the box overwriting the stuff in blue. Your picture should now be visible in 'preview post' – hopefully 🙂

esselgruntfuttocks' picture above has the 'picture location' of this

I went for a walk with Mrs C B today on my local trails which was nice in the light dusting of snow we had. I even found a few cheeky trails which I didn't know about so all was good. 😀

marrying wife No. 1 was probably one of the worse things I've done – not big or clever (that's me btw not wife No.1) 🙂

been on the wagon for nearly 2 years. The reason why I gave up was due to getting older & it taking a lot longer to recover the next day. Biking is my passion (after Mrs C B) & loosing a day off the bike with a raging hangover was not my idea of fun.

I have found that once people realise that I don't drink they respect this & don't try to pressure me into taking part, they even get in non-alcoholic drinks just for me – sweet. Conversely I respect their wish to drink & I don't try to push my teetotal status on them.

One thing that I always find hugely amusing is watching what drunk people, especially those who are normally quite straightlaced, get up to & what they say or try to say – absolutely hillarious – even better when you tell them about it the next day & they can't remember a thing – Lol.
