I hang mine the right way up. I have shimano brakes which don’t recommend being upside down for long. I’ll get a pic tomorrow

I do this but wirh two screw in hooks. One under the nose if the saddle and one that the handlebar grip sits in with the wheel turned against the wall. Two Burgess then pull the Bike against the wall of the shed. Nice and tidy and keeps the Bike out if the way.

What secures the front of the bikes?

They are nice lightweight bikes but they have crappy cantilever brakes that are nit upgradeable. Dies the job though

There are no washers on and it still sat to far from the disc, do no adjustments left. No real problem as its ok now, but just couldn’t understand it.

Everything is fitted correctly.all I’ve done is swapped brakes between my two bikes. As the fitment is the dame I simply removed the calipers and left the mounts on the bike. The fronts were no issue but the rears had the above problem. When I compared the two mounts the superstar did deem to sit the front higher than the other.

Excellent, saves me swapping them over then. Cheers a’ll.

Only nagging thing is some negative reviews regarding the forks?

I ‘ll drop them an email and see what they say. Only thing bugging me is spending on the triad when it seems from research that they aren’t particularly reliable? Might just wait till after Xmas to get a retrograde.

I’ve had the eyelet wear before and replaced with new bushes. It’s nit the same this time. No upwards movement and no movement at all with shock locked out. The movement does seem to be within the shock travel. Especially as its preventing me from setting the sag correctly. There is a constant 10-15 mm initial drop regardless of psi . It’s like there is a little resistance, then the shock compresses with out any resistance said amount, then encounters normal resistance again and continues through most of travel as normal.

Thing is with Christmas coming I’m pretty skint. Max of around 80 quid really so looking at second hand or cheap. I can still use the triad if I’m better waiting till after Christmas but I am concerned that it nay fail alltogether mid ride! Plus I’m not getting all the travel. It took some pretty big hits the other day but never maxed out.,although I have the pressure higher than it should be in an effort to minimise sag

That’s what I’m thinking, but not sure what the geometry of the frame would be like?

Been down to the shed again. I had to use q mismatch of adaptors and bolts to fit brakes and one of the bolts was from an avid and as such has an alignment washer. Thus was preventing the caliper moving across enough. Sorted this and there’s now more clearance. Also fiddled with the at and lessened the miss alignmenta bit. RResult us wheel is still off centre, but bike is running fine. I’ll have to assume that the forks or dropouts are bent/ worn.

    It’s a standard 9 mm qr.

Pm caliper, I’ve tried realigning but the clearance is very tithe. On my other bike the disc clears the leg by a couple of mm. On this it’s closer to 1mm clearance. The forks are narrower than my others though. I’ll post a pic up

Hey guys, thud story really has badly affected me. I have a son if four and everytone I see him smile I think of that poor child and the many more like him that don’t smile very often. I genuinely don’t know what punusishment would suit the monsters that can do that. But what we can all do is help by supporting charities such as nspcc. Do what ice done, nip on the site and make a donation.

100mm travel would be no shorter overall, just has less drop. It’s the overall lenght you need to change. They come as 380 mm or 420 mm. Think you can get 350 mm too but dint seem to see them.

It’s clearing the outer plate as the noise us when the chain is running in the grooved section ofthe roller. Seens to be running on the sloped rather than fully in it. I have also noticed that although the bolt through the rubber wheel is tight, there is sideways play?
