the T5 is better in every way (apart from snow, should have got 4 motion

You don’t need a 4motion. I’ve got the same van and winter tyres transform them. I’ve been in lots of taxis in Sweden & Finland in winter and they hammer around on winter treads. Conti Vaneos fitted to ours are awful in snow.

We went from a Lexus 4wd to the velle. Its nowhere near as refined but its very good. Its a brilliant family vehicle but its only 35 MPG tops (MPG isn’t the 180s strong point), normally ~29. My wife uses it all the time & the parking sensors are pretty handy.

As above, its basically a toss up between the sca (VW Cali roof manufacturer) or Reimo. Lots of threads on vwt4forum about this. You won’t have much change from 3.5k fitted.

Mine arrived as well today. Absolute bargain, good fit and really comfy so good I’ve ordered another pair. Also bought my son some Scott gloves for £6!

    Thanks for the PSA Dave!

I’ve used them a few times, I can also remember when the shop was in Belper!

Was it? I remember Cyclone in the 90’s but not MA being there.

Kristoff, are they T5 Caravelle seats there? I’ve got factory leather in mine but the bases are black / grey. Never seen a “full-on beige” seat before.

In case you’re interested, Inca will have waterproof covers for that seat shortly. (black and grey might already be available). I lent them my seat so they could template it and I should be getting a “cream” set at the end of this month (hopefully) when they come into production.

What are you going to use for the uprights for the multiflex alternative?

I think W8 and office 2013 are utter crap from a U.I. perspective. I’ve been using it on a desktop, a laptop and a tablet (as well as a surface). Any OS that makes you touch or click more things to do something than you previously had to is really poorly thought out. Everything is just less intuitive. The type to search is the one saving grace.

Massive board or tiny skis in that pic?

Lots of how-to info on here.

Or just leave them overnight with a shop in resort and they’ll be ready before the first lift.

I used to eat it raw with vinegar and pepper, but my mum used to fry it in milk with onions. I really liked it; but I’ve not had it for years.

1982 I got a black and gold Ultra Burner.
2 years later I got a chrome CW Pistol Pete. I loved that bike and my dad gave it away when I was at uni. They made so few of them finding one has prove difficult and there are a few fakes / wannabees out there.

I was in Grenoble on Saturday and it was chaos. Yes it’s changeover day but the desks were in melt-down. All the flights missed their slots as they couldn’t clear the check-in queues fast enough.

What’s the sizing like on the flux? I’m 5 10 and most things I ride are ~18 / M. Wondering if the 17.5 flux might come up short?

Sounds good. If we’re free my 8 & 11 year olds would be up for it I’m sure.

2.5 / 3 will be fine for summer use. Bang on about “growing room”. I had to point out to a parent buying a wetsuit that the oversized sack they put their 4 year old in wouldn’t do him any good. “Growing room” apparently, but at least they saw sense after a bit of explaining

The Ritz in Belper doesn’t have the 48fps stuff but it was still good; and helped along by fantastic cake and mulled wine :). It did feel a bit drawn out and repetitive towards the end, but the kids loved it.

It does look stunning (tele tubby land aside)

I’ve always liked these. Carbon rims as well (not that I’d want them, just included at the price).

The stuff I actually want is still on 10% to 15% off.

    Bar the reverb, nada!

because i’ve heard of a few cases where crc-bought reverbs get refused warranty because they’re oem and crc don’t give a hoot.

I had an OEM reverb I bought from Rose bikes. SRAM UK just replaced it under warranty. All I needed was my receipt.

The mini on the link will be too small for most 9 year olds.

Gav, if you fancy a Redline Flight, but not the price (£879 for a 2013!!); I’ve got my sons Flight Junior for sale which is just too small for him now. Weighs around 13lbs IIRC, most other decent kids race BMXs are 15 +. It’s a fantastic bit of kit.

Every year a tree in the garden gets mobbed by a flock of Fieldfares and Redwings. This year though they stripped it within a week of arriving though and they’ve gone already. Times must be hard!

Young Bradley saying there has been a lot of cheating in Moto2 this year, anyone know anything about this?

Just read the interview on crash.net. He doesn’t really get very specific does he, but his “bending the rules” comment is a bit weak. If the other teams interpreted the rules and the scrutineers were happy that’s racing. Otherwise it’s a one make series (assuming obviously they weren’t messing with any of the control parts). Sounds like sour grapes to me.

You came away thinking the researcher had actually put some effort in on this programme. I really enjoyed it. I’ve never liked the presenter but he was OK on this; no doubt as he’s “freed” from the “zany” world of the Gadget Show.

I’m not a Marquez fan as he’s been a muppet on track so many times but I’d put that down as a racing (well FP2) incident. Espargaro is a class act on that CRT but as you say that’s a new low for Rossi.

Been hovering over those thors but I really don’t need / want any 15mm. Bargain. I have 2009s. For just over £200 they’re excellent.

The DT’s are good value as well

I’m skillfully hiding my new windsurfer by leaving the board and mast in the hall, the sail’s in the playroom and the boom’s in the kitchen.

    She’ll never spot it!

My problem has always been that when it comes to bikes she’s got a pretty good idea of what it all costs and knows her XT from her XTR.

I found I was getting hotspots on longer rides due to the smaller contact area on a SPD cleat. (I was using the shimano road pedal that accepts a SPD cleat)

I swapped for some cheap Keo pedals and they’ve been fine ever since. The downside is you’ll need the shoes as well.

Bought something on ebay recently and paid with paypal.

The seller used the wrong account in the ad so asked me to cancel the payment which I did.

It took 3 “working” days (5 elapsed) for the money to appear in my paypal account due to “checks”. I assumed it would just re-credit my bank account automatically, but it didn’t and just credited my paypal account.

The withdrawal (to the same account the funds were originally withdrawn) then took 2 days to credit my bank account due to “checks”.

I’m massively unimpressed. It is just a scam to hold on to cash for as long as they can. There is no reason for it.

I’m not posting a link so I don’t think the mods will ban me, but the “website that can’t be named” has got 50% off sweet protection snow kit which if you’re a brand whore or under 30 might be of interest. 🙂
