Base layer under top and warmer gloves if its really cold. Otherwise all the same as any other time of year

What has this country come to? Trampling over grannies in a desperate panic to get a shitty tesco own brand tv.

Black friday has always been the last friday before xmas where everyone finishes work early, gets pissed and gets into a ruckus whilst queuing for a kebab. Those were the days

I really dont get it. Are people that desperate for stuff to get into brawls for. As above bloody embarrassing.

Ive got both setups on different bikes. I prefer on top on the right. Ive had both over and under bar damaged in a crash so theyre no safer underneath in my experience. However underneath they are less vulnerable when you turn bike upside down

Ive got them on my xc hardtail. I dont race so prefer stronger rims over the slight weight penalty

5:10’s slightly better than AM41’s for grip but are bloody awful in the winter and take forever to dry out.

AM41’s grippy enough, just not as grippy as the 5:10’s but are better all rounders, especially in winter IMO

You can play raw footage via the hdmi lead. If yiuve got edited studd you can connect your laptop to tv via hdmi or use an usb stick in the ps3 ( think it has to be a certain format type- cant remember which of the two though)

Mine are fully open all the time unless I know theres a really long uphill slog coming up. Never use the inbetween

Rode there last night and I’d like to change my original comment to cafall being a bit wet in places but far from sloppy

twrch is rideable in all conditions, cafall will have some sloppy sections

Been doing this on sram chains for years without any issues other than the link can be a bit stiff at first but that soon loosens with use

My mate had seriously bad grooves cut into his, he kept running them for at least 12 months but needed regular servicing. If the grooves are not that they should be fine with a bit of occasional tlc

the evoc 20L is huge so I went for the 16L one, which is still big but ideal for big rides and its really comfy. Too big for normal rides though imo

as above… no more than maintaining a hardtail

loads of dinks, dents and knocks in my rims. No damage to tyres though (tubeless)

I dont find the twrch climb that bad. Its a bit techy and certainly a challenge to clear without dabbing, especially strait out of the car park but it is over pretty quick, and on the whole is a steady climb whereas the cafall climbs are more up and down so you gain height a lot slower. Both are fun trails though and if youre doubling up id recommend doing the twrch first.

You can also opt to do the pedalhounds DH instead of the final descent on cafall. Its obviously a lot steeper and shorter but a good alternative now and again

I love my five and the only bikes I’d currently replace it with if I had to due to theft or total frame failure would be another five or transition covert, although never ridden one

Im from down that way and although theres loads of hills there aren’t many big ones so i cant see it being much more than a skills bike park although id be happy if i was wrong. Having said that a skills park will be better than nothing when visiting family

tubeless every time. Cant see a downside (based on my experience). I’m finding it cheaper, less faff, zero punctures (over 2.5 yrs or more I cant remember). Never had issues setting tubeless up, regardless of proper kit or ghetto, type of rim or tyre etc. Might have got lucky but it gets the thumbs up from me and now ive converted most of my mates as I was getting bored with constant hanging around for puncture repairs

depends how tight the tyre is. Two wraps on my current rim and tyre combo but my mate needed a lot more on his. You want the tyre tight enough so when it comes to inflating there is a half decent seal already, although if you have a compressor this is less important

edit… however too much tape will make it a b*itch to get the tyre on

in what way are they shit all round? Personally I think they have many benefits over some other online retailers and LBS.

eg 365 day returns, free returns, competitive pricing, good selection. Even wangled £30 CRC voucher from them when one parcel was a day late.

If you’re interested I have a brand new Stealth reverb 125mm sent by Planet X in error (should have been a non-stealth). I’ve used the remote from it so you’d have to swap yours over / find a new one but otherwise its mint. It’s a 30.9mm dia btw.

Happy to sell on for £100 posted

Went from 75mm to 35mm and wished id have done it sooner. Didnt find the steering twitchy at all. Main reason i wanted a shorter stem was to push my weight slightly back which it has done and helps on drops and jumps
