Yes, do a google image search and save image to a folder on your laptop. Then in itunes right click a song and select ‘Get Info’ then select ‘artwork’ tab and browse to the image you saved.

I think he means move the brake levers further into the centre of the bars so that their in the ideal position for one finger braking. It’s a personal preference though but it does allow you to grip the bars better when you brake. Brakes are so good these days that you only need one finger to use them. Does take a ride or two to get used to though

A what? That’s one of those ponced-up terms try to make it sound more important, like Horticultural Engineer, or Educational Catering Facilitator or something….

I disagree. There’s a distinct difference between Architect, Architectual Technician and draughtsman. A drafty usually has limited knowledge of construction and architectute but knows CAD inside out. An architectual technologist usually sorts out the technical and practical aspect of a design whereas an architect would mainly come up with the design concept. These roles inevitably merge and overlap and will vary accross teh industry but thats generally the case in my experience. This design however does look to have been produced by a drafty with little or no regard to architecture. I would expect an architectual technician to have far more vision than shown here.

oh right next door’s boundry is a lot closer than the first image suggested. The house is a bit smaller than I anticipated too. I think the proportions of the 3D image is also missleading which would make it look worse than it is. I think you could squeeze in a dual pitched roof at around 30 degrees but you may have to reduce height of the eaves. I dont think thats the complete solution although it’s a start.
A more modern design as above could also be an option

have you got the floor plans so I can see whats going on internally and see where your boundary/next door is? For 30k I think you could achieve something a lot more asthetically pleasing than that but need to understand your requirements first and see how it ties in with existing

Haven’t had a wet shave in years. Trim with clippers once a week to ten days. Have better things to do with my time… like having an extra 5 mins in bed in the mornings!

It will depend if your looking to go for a single or double setup. You need to remove outer ring for double and remove outer and granny for single. I think thats how it works anyway; I’m about to convert my five to double so will find out soon enough. I have a spare bash ring lying around so i’m going for the Blackspire Stinger as it seems the cheapest and best option. If I didt have a spare bash id prob either go with the Gamut based on my mates recommendation. If I was going for single set up i fancy the simplicity of the straitline silent guide although I havent and experience using it, and im not fit enough for a single either. Your five will have ISCG tabs so make sure you go for that option.

    1. Discuss what you want with your partner
    2. Speak to architect, architectual technician or someone who can draw up some plans and knows what their doing
    3. Figure out a budget
    4. Talk to planners and/or submit planning application (if required… you may be able to build under permitted development subject to certain conditions)and await approval
    5. Submit Building Regs application
    6. Get prices from builders
    7. Put up with dust, noise and the mrs new obsession with interior design
    7. Prepare to spend more money than you originally planned

Bit of a hijack, but is there a website that I can download PDF’s of the routes in FoD? Something similar to whats available for Afan, Cwmcarn and Brechfa on the Forestry Commission Wales website?

I dont have a credit card and travel a fair bit but haven’t had any issues yet. I’ve hired cars, booked hotels and paid for everything either on debit card or by cash.

I kept my RP23 thinking I’d swap it back for longer XC days but I haven’t felt the need to and it’s at the bottom of my spares box. Need to get round to selling it. And as said above the Five and Alpine take different shock lengths.

The very first time I went off-road biking was to the Gorlech red route at Brechfa. I was with two of my mates who were also losing their off road cherry. Cycling up the first section we passed a couple of riders fully kitted out with their full sussers, shin pads, knee pads and elbow pads etc. We joked about their apperance as we’d turned up on our £500 budget bikes armed with only a helmet (not full face). We didn’t know what to expect from the trail but we attacked it as fast as we could. We had the best day ever even though we were completelly underskilled and going way too fast for our capability and all of us crashed, went OTB and regularly bashed into each other and were covered in cuts, grazes and bruises but had the biggest smiles ever as we raced each other and did our best to hold on. Years later my skill level has improved (slightly) and although I love mountain biking I dont get the same feeling as I did that very first day. I think I need to push myself more so I do fall off more often maybe? I was hooked after that first day.

I ordered my bike and got 10-15% discount on a model who’s component spec wasnt even confirmed. Theres always room to strike a deal. If not go to a different dealer.

Had 10-15% off my bike (latest model at the time) which meant that i had quite a lot of upgrades for free. I also get 10% off everything I buy in store since I bought the bike.

have you seen the jumps in Bute Park? Usually some kids playing on them. Best to go on a monday morning when there in school! Looks like on ok place to practice although never had a go myself. yet

Think I know the ones you mean inbetween the big tesco and the susprension bridge? Not far from my house to be fair but have gaps inbetween which scare the hell out of me, plus lots of people walking past to watch!! lol

yes, there the jumps im on about. The first few jumps look fine but the jumps at the end of it do look a bit too much to try in full view of dog walkers and joggers. When im back in the UK next i may give them a blast on a quiet day when the kids are in school.

matchmakers on mine, feel spot on but they’re quite a distance from my grips so the brake levers are in ideal position for one finger braking. I have got wide bars though so plenty of room

I’d buy boots before the board too if it was one or the other. Also, when looking at cost don’t forget the fee that most airlines charge to take snowboards (assuming your flying?).

Anybody know of any reviews for the new Hope R8’s?

yeah i used to get a similar pain directly under the knee cap/top of shin after playing sports such as squash and basket ball. Dosen’t flare up after riding, playiing rugby or running etc. I’ve recently (last 3 months) been doing loads of squats and leg training excercises and this seems to have worked.

might be worth checking if they have a budget and a premium range. My ex girlfriend fancied a kitchen which was in the premium range which came to around £7500. We took quotes and nice pretty drawing home and did further research on internet including their website and discvered the base units in both the premium range and budget range were exactly the same but cost more than twice as much on the premium quote. So went back to the shop and said we want the base unite (i.e. carcass) from the budget range but the doors and visible bits from the premium range. This brought the cost down to around £3000 and we made further savings by compromising on some big fashinalbe pan draws, which looked good, but didnt justify the price. With some further negotiating the price dropped to £1500. Also realised the guy (probably on commission) had added things to the uote that wasnt needed. So with a bit of research, negotiating etc you could make significant savings. We got the worktop from IKEA. It was a solid beach one for about £60 for 3m length. Not the best quality wood worktop but for £60 you cant go wrong.
