A screwdriver is all you need. If you can strip them down what makes you think you need additional tools?

Once you remove the 2 circlips you have access to all the parts by sliding them off the axle?

Im presuming you have the standard (De Facto?) Straitline pedals?

depends on how you work it out. do you spend a fortune on make-up, fashion clothes and spend ages getting ready? I have an extra 45mins to an hour in bed in the morning whilst my mrs gets ready. It all works out in the end

i’d happily pay the £5 extra to attract more women to mountain biking.

I suggest you go for a sex change then. That is if you can find anything to chop off in the first place. You dont pay £5 more for being a bloke, women just pay £5 less. Whats wrong incouraging them into the sport? Did some girl kick your ass at the event and your feeling bitter about it?

it must be a pain being a woman sometimes when your looking for stuff in a male dominated sport. Its often hard enough to get male stuff in local bike shops

locking the bathroom door is more to do with privacy than security. You dont expect people to jump the back fence and enter your house, especially when your home!

Keeping the external door keys and the shed keys is a bad habit, you loose lose the set and your locked out

thats nothing to do with what happened to the OP. who says he hasnt a spare set for the garage?

Good luck getting your bikes back, i know how it feels i had my bike nicked, but nowhere near as bad as your circumstances

Im not familiar with scotish regs, but doubt if it needs to be fire rated. However, if it does need to be fire rated you can simply clad with plasterboard rather than taking plywood off if thats any help? Doubt it needs fire rating though

i think you should show us so we can decide whats best to do. It’s not the bean bag woman is it?

There is an alternative option but im not that familiar with it. It involves a protected route to first floor level where you can escape through one of the existing bedroom windows (as long as the window complies to an escape window), and I think you have to install a sprinkler system in the open plan area. IE ground floor is seperated from first floor by fire rated door at top of stairs/landing area and fire rated partition + sprinkler at ground floor

edit: although it’s probably not a realistic option for a residential property

have you any plans drawn up? Perhaps I could look at various options open to you.

Your layout may have been compliant before the loft extension. However adding the loft extension means different things apply due to the height and distance of escape.

So, if the height of the finished floor level of the extension is less that 4.5m above external ground level escape can be provided either by a window (min sizes and max height applies) or by a protected stairway.

If your floor level is above 4.5m then jumping out the window isnt an option so you’ll need a protected stairway.

Need more info just ask. I can send you the regs or find a link if required

I bought a right hand remote so that i could fit it underside of the bar on the left but i cant get it to fit as it clashes with either the brake or shifters (although i havent spent much time re-arranging stuff) so at the moment its on the top right hand side. Apparently its liable to snap off here tho. im intending to find room on the left at some point, when i get round to it (probably after it brakes)

gamut chain device isn’t particularly cheap though compared to some others if your on a budget

its pretty straitforward to change. 10 mins max as lomg as you have the right tools and bits. Chainring bolts may need to be swapped for longer or shorter ones depending on your bash. You’ll need the correct ISCG bolts too. My gamut didt come with any and they needed to be flat profiled head ones otherwise they’ll catch on your granny chainring bolts. Some chain devices are countersunk so this isnt an issue

Chain device depends on how many rings your planning on keeping. Ive gpt a five and took off the largest and replaced with a gamut but Blackspire stinger would probably be your cheapest option

i dont think orange will warranty the frame if you add those forks. max travel 160mm btw.

thats one commontators comment, and do you expect anything else from cyclops?
The media always hype everything up. I mean hype from informed and respected people from the rugby world. I dont think the hype is as bad as a lot on here make out. If you spoke to joe boio average out on the hills and i’d be suprised if you found anyone that was overconfident

what is all this ‘hype’ about wales being amazing? I dont read newspapers but I dont think they’re being hyped up that much from what i’ve seen or heard. I think the welsh team is pretty grounded, they haven’t shown anything else from what i’ve seen. Every welshman’s happy they’re doing well in this tournament, and thats natural, but i’m yet to hear anyone say they’d thrash any team or infact have thrashed any team in this tournamemt so far.

I work in construction, and my experience of surveyors is that they never take any responsibility for their surveys. Theres always a get out clause there somewhere.
Has he got access to the sub-floor? Or would that mean ripping up floor boards and carpets etc? If so then I guess he’s limited but that would be no different to the ‘specialist’ surveyor he wants you to get in. Seek permission from the seller to survey the floor if possible and tell him to get on with it

the whole point of a surveyor is that he does the surveying!

My mrs bought me a Park tool set (one of the smaller ones) for xmas and it has loads of useful stuff in and a good starter tool box. Dosen’t include everything I need eg torx stuff but will add new tools as and when required. It’s not cheap, but I wasn’t paying 😆

Also states repair or replacement of the parts no mention of colours

If I had a broken red swingarm, i’d want it replaced with a new red swingarm. Otherwise they’re not replacing like for like. If they haven’t got stock of them then they should replace the whole frame in my opinion so it all colour matches. Not customers fault that they havent any in stock.
