If you have a bit of patience its not that hard to create a basic website from scratch. I tought myself by watching ‘Create The Net’ tutorials on You Tube. Within two weeks I had a basic (static) website up although it’s only a practice one at the moment. I have to stress though that this is a basic ststic website rather than a dynamic one which has memebrs log in areas and e-commerce etc. I’m currently going through all that stuff now and it’s a bit more complicated. I used Dreamweaver to edit the HTML code, which you’ll have to get hold of (or other code editing software).

For web hosting i’m using TSO Host which for me as a complete novice have great customer service and are really quick to reply too.

not sure what your brand of adhesive say on the instructions but I would usually screw a WBP plywood sheet 12-15mm down on top of your floorboards, screwing at 150mm centres into the floor joists. (screws need to be long enough to go through both plywood and floor boards). There might be proprietary baords you can use instead of ply- aquaboard, although I have no experience using that myself.

Don’t know if what I said is common practice but that’s what i’ve done in the past, and is what i’ve seen professional tilers do and have had no issues with cracking or loose tiles.

edit: make sure you evenly spread the adhesive without any voids

One thing holding me back from going for the 7D is that it’s been out a while and there are rumors of a 7D mark II so im wondering weather to wait and get the 7D at a cheaper price when a newer model is out but I don’t know how long I’ll end up waiting for.

thanks lodious, I’m not sure yet weather to buy with a kit lens to start off with or just get the body and buy seperate lenses. I am planning to buy additional lenses as and when I develop and improve though.

Prices on HDEW looks good too (and cheaper in some cases) so thanks for that recommendation.

I’m also looking at cheaper options too 600D and 60D but just wanted to see what people thought of the 7D.

I’ve been looking at SLRhut this week for a new Camera (either Canon 60D or 7D) and their prices seemed too good to be true, which they were. No mention of VAT not included until you go to checkout which was a little annoying but their prices are still cheaper than some but I’ll be shopping around again now.

A few guys from work insist on going round shakin everyone’s hand when they return from annual leave. I don’t get it. It’s like they want to be congratulated for coming back to work.

Meeting up with mates I haven’t seen for a while is different. That could either be a handshake and a manly hug, or both but it wouldn’t happen as often as the OP said.

for such an outdated suspension design Orange did pretty well at the recent Macavalanche event! I know it’s also down to the rider but the guy’s on Orange bikes were’nt the only good riders there.

There are far uglier bikes around than the Five, but it’s all down to personal taste. Personally I think Fives look pretty good- solid, no nonsense and purposefull.

My Five is good fun and I won’t be replacing it for a long time.

I have straitlines and superstar nanaos. Both are good but the straitlines are clear favourites and worth the extra cash in my opinion.

I’ve recently signed up to TSO Host which was based on a recommendation from someone on here. I’m a complete novice to web design/hosting etc and their customer service was excellent. Replied within max 15 minutes day or night (often a lot quicker).

Have you got a picture of the welds on your Patriot as the welds on my Five looks nowhere near as neat and tidy as the Nicolais’. Still love my five though 😀

im glad I went there last year. Had an awesome time, loved every minute and it’s a real shame about the change. It’s not the only reason to visit but it did make it a very different experience and thats without hanging around the places Flash has read about

I doubt very much youd save half a kilo, closer to quarter a kilo maybe if your lucky. Haven’t had any hassle whatsoever on my Reverb (2012). If you can afford it, go get one, one of the best upgrades IMHO

Hi, I recently swapped my largest chainring for a Gamut chain device but with the aluminium bash. The bash was thinner than the chainring it replaced and even though the bolts were done up tight as possible they were too long and were screwed all the way in before they actually clamped the bash. As a result you could feel the bash slightly loose. I swapped for shorter chainring bolts ones and problem solved, so it may be your bolts are too long rather than too short. You should be able to tell from the reverse side if the bolts are thread into each other enough.

    great news wasn’t a crack.

Grow up lads. The op was only looking for advice from what he thought were like-minded riders.

which is what he got. What we didn’t get was an answer if it was a crack or not. It would be good to know just incase someone else’s bike cracked in a similar place.

i couldn’t even get the L/XL on my legs and I wouldn’t say ive got particularly large legs either. I’d say there sized pretty small!

well theres a lots of maybe, if’s and buts in what you think I (or others) may be asking. Why not be less sceptical? Whats nasty about it, it was a genuine question- is it really that hard to determine?

The OP asked a question, there was some votes for cracks, some for stickers. Think everyone would like to know which. Surely the LBS can work it out if the OP cant?

jesus it’s hardly bullying is it. He’s asked a question and he’s had some replies. Some people (me included) can’t understand why it’s so hard to work out if it’s a crack or a sticker when he has the bike infront of him, yet he wants others to decide from a couple or poor pictures. The OP then said he’s taking it back to LBS for their expert analysis, and all we want is the report back. Crack or sticker? Is that too much to ask considering he asked us in the first place? All we want is to know what the outcome was. If you think thats bullying yo must have led a very sheltered life

I dont know where your travelling from but i’d do FoD, Cwmcarn then Afan.

Cwmcarn and FoD will be very busy on weekends unless you get out early as its only 1 loop wheras at afan you’d be less likely to see as much people out on the trails

computers these days come with the OS already installed so when you first start it up your meant to do a recovery disk which you can later use to fix any issues. If you didn’t do this you may have a problem

In previous series have they been as useless and annoying?

    even more so!

In every series the candidates are a representation of the crap state of British workers coming out of our schools and colleges

wasn’t the one booted last week foreign? I think every country have their own share of numpties. It’s just we stick them on tv so we can laugh and cringe at them
