I would say Cwmcarn is harder than Whites. Shorter yes, but definatelly more technical which saps the enegry more. But it’s over fairly quick and after that there’s not much climbing.

enterprise, eurocar, Hertz and probably more I cant remember. I hire one from the cheapest at the time whenever I came back from working abroad. Most if not all said I needed a credit card but debit card has always worked so far

i hire a car all the time and never use a credit card. I’ve used a variety of companies without any issues

i’d stay away from Fussells as we made several offers on various properties and they never replied once. Granted our offers were on the low side but you have to start negotiations somewhere but how can you when they don’t even reply? They didn’t even bother turning up to some viewings as it was a saturday and left it to the owners to show us round. They didn’t call us afterwards either.

does it make a difference then that they’re renting? Would they have more rights to complain if they owned their flat?

In my opinion its far more civilised across Europe

maybe thats your problem- in your opinion. In my experience swedish girls know how to have a wild night and were just as bad or even worse than the British. The Finnish girls not that far behind either.

BBC website says he will flare out the wing suit and slow down to 15mph.

edit. unless thats different to the gliding speed in which case it will be around 50mph. ouch

I’ve recently purchased my first DSLR and bought it from HDEW cameras. You’ll have to look hard to beat their prices although I think they’re grey imports but for the price it’s worth the risk.

not sure if your allowed to push a bike on a foot path (from a legal point of view)or not but I don’t think he could stop you if you chucked it over your shoulder and carried it until you were orf his land.

it’s not your calves you have to worry about; they’re usually nice and fleshy. It’s when your pedals smash into and tear chunks out of your shins is what hurts a little.

I nearly had my five in white frame with white rims. I like it but ended up with chrome frame white rims.

I’m thinking of doing the same….seeing some pic’s would be great especially if anyone has put white rims on their white filing cabinet.

Have a look at orange facebook page theres a white five with whote rims in there somewhere

I don’t think theres an issue regarding minimum height clearance other than for practicality reasons.

Have you got a power supply to it? I cant see from the pictures. Theres no reason why you can’t install one in the wall to the left, but as stated it would need to be 60l/s (rather than 30l/s standard).

How would you duct it if you had a flush vent above it? Wouldn’t you have big boxing on your kitchen wall?

Where were you intending to duct it in the first place? Up through breast and accross between floor joists?

do you have to have an extractor at that location? You coud get away witha 60l/s extractor located elsewhare in the kitchen to comply with B Regs although personally I’d prefer it above the cooker. But may be worth considering.

And looking at the pics wouldn’t the extractor be quite low if it was fixed to the underside? not sure what type you have in mnd though.

Where do you need to extract it to? ie is that an external wall?

Not sure why you’d want to drink from a hot tap, but I wouldn’t advise it. The risk will depend on the type of system you have.

Cold water systems can vary. Sometimes (not as common these days) only kitchen are fed direct. Bahrooms were fed from a cold water tank.

    (I think)

I don’t know if it will affect it but have you checked the position of the roller. You can screw it in/out so that it’s in line with the chain and you secure it with a tiny grub screw. The roller has two positions for each of the rings

I’ve got one of those on my bike and its been faultless. I’m no expert but if the chain was previously set up for a triple set up i think you can reduce the length to suit a double although I haven’t done this on mine.

Have you positioned the roller of the chain device so that it fully tensions the chain? Mine is set so its as tight as possible (Orange Five)

    1. No, but you can link the two. Raven starts in/near Brechfa and Gorlech a few miles further on assuming your travelling from Carmarthen direction.
    2. The blue and green are short and sweet. Good for a warm up. Cwm rheadr is also not that far away in a car
    3. Just look for brechfa on the map. Cant really miss them. They’ll be on the left
    4. No bus as far as I know

I havent really considered any other brands yet due to recommendations of friends who already have Canaons. I know there might be an element of bias there so might be worth looking into Nikon.
Im also aware the 7D has been out for a while and there are rumors of a 7D mark II which might drop the price of the 7D.
Which Nikon would be comparable to the 7D?
Things is I have a week in cornwall next month which would give me time to play and experiemnt with the camera whilst shhooting some nice scenery (plus the father in law will be there to give pointers- ex-pro photographer)

thanks midnighthour! I’m not in any rush to buy as stuck working abroad until end of the month. I have an end of contract bonus which I will use on camera and lenses as its somethimg I’ve wanted to get into for years but never got round to it. Can you recommend any decent websites for 2nd hand gear other than e-bay?
Currently looking at 70-200mm lenses. As a novice and amateur would I see any benefit from going for the higher end ones with the ‘IS’ or ‘IS II’? If I could find one of them 2nd i might go for one? New ones here:http://www.hdewcameras.co.uk/telephoto-lens-49-c.asp

thanks for the advice midnighthour, all makes sense and is roughly what im thinking about at the moment.

I probably wont be changing to full frame in the near future as I cant really justify the extra cost. Things may change though and I will bear that in mind.
