I’ve just returned from a long weekend in Paris and was amazed by the lack of chaos on the roads. Most roads were quiet, hardly any traffic, no road rage, organised and a bit polite for a large city. Not what I was expecting

Strike back! Currently on series 3 but if you have sky it’s worth catching up on series 1 and 2 first (by download).

Why would it matter if google showed where it is? It’s not a secret compound and it’s not that difficult to find given the size of it, and the shear number of trucks delivering stuff there and general traffic going back and forth

HDEW cameras are a good alternative to digital rev. Similar pricing but based in uk, bought my 7D and a few lenses from them a few months back.

haven’t tried any others but highly recommend the reverb. It’s been faultless since I’ve had it (around 18 months ish)

I keep a mobi washer in the boot as I also live in an upstairs flat and the bike usually gets a quick hose down before leaving the trails. The mobi washer holds enough water for up to 3 or 4 washes but it depends on how dirty they are and the type of mud etc. Sometimes I use a full tank on just on one wash though when its really mucky. A brush helps a lot though.

To be tax free though you would need to be out there(or working outside of the uk) until after April 2014. If you came back to work in the uk within that period you’d have a nice tax bill waiting for you. I’ve just returned from afghan after a few years out there doing construction management and design work. It’s a good way to save money but it’s bloody boring- both the work and the life.

Was there any need for this incorrect use of stereotype?

Everyone knows IT Audi driving weekend warriors only go to trail centres and are unlikely to see any walkers 😀

Last week the last section of white level was diverted back up the hill past the bottom of the black run so you finish off doing the skyline descent.

Sort of easy to find but every time I go there I find some new trails

I’ve been thinking the same and keep meaning to have a nose round there. Looking at OS there dosen’t seem to be much there as far as trails except a few footpaths. Could be some cheeky trails there though similar to Castell Coch.

I always thought how long will it be before the scum starts mugging people on the trails. Hope your ok n they catch them

Don’t let the hassle of setting tubeless up put you off. I went tubeless a few weeks ago using stans conversion kit and the ghetto tubeless inflator and it couldn’t have been easier. Maybe I got lucky with the combination of tyres and rims (rubber queens black chilli non ust on mavic rims). So far I’m loving the tubeless.

You should still carry spares and tools to sort flats out though weather your tubeless or not.

Standard delivery takes 3-4 days, never been any faster or slower. If I need something in a hurry that I can’t get at lbs I’ll get the next day delivery option

I’ve been using Vans skater type shoes for last 18 months. The grip is superb but they soak up water like a sponge. They’re coming towards the end of their life now as the sole is getting ripped apart by the pedals but they’ve lasted well considering the abuse they’ve had and they only cost £35. In the market for new ones too but can’t find something that will be decent for winter riding too.

Yeah I think you will lose your settings but it sorted mine out the other day and only took 30 mins to get my preferences back howi wanted. If you back up everything on pc you may beagle to transfer the back afterwards though.

Reset it. Press on/off button at the same time as pressing finger on top right of screen?

Edit. You may have to hold it for a few seconds oh and back up all your history first on pc as it will reset it to default factory settings

From what i saw of it on youtube – YES. Would be absolutely perfect if it were about 5 – 10 times as long. Could do laps of it i suppose…

Thd FoD has a lot more to offer than just the marked trails. You could spend all day in the forest without seeing hardly anyone else and with enough forest to keep you exploring for a few days at least.

at the end of the day nobody forced the guy to hand over his cash. He had the choice of either walking away or buying repair kit or new tube and a pump. He should know how to repair a puncture anyway. It’s the most basic bike maintenence skill any cyclist should have.

Got right hand remote on mine with the intention of fitting it on the left upside down but I cant get it to work with my shifters and brakes so it’s currently on the right (top). Quite like the position of it but could be vulnerable to damage in a crash. Already broken the barb once. That’s not to say it won’t work with your setup on the left but the position of brakes and shifters take priority on my bike.

It could be given back to the customer – it’s his/hers after all.

If they are the type of person who pays £10 to repair a puncture I doubt they’ll want the tube back.
