Chip. Ive got a Five and my current set up is 2×10 with 11-34 cassette. I changed from 11-36 when it needed replacing and I do sometimes wish i had kept the 11-36 but then the granny ring is always in reserve if needed. I didtched the big ring as i hardly ever used it and i dont miss it even tho i ride on the road to link up the trails. I much prefer to have a bash and chain device. Im considering getting rid of the granny ring too as its very rarely used. If i was you id stick with the triple set up for now with 11-36 casette and see how things go. You can always change your set up when parts need replacing, which by then you’ll be fitter and know what set up will suit you better

What size is it and how much do you want for it?

Can’t see why you can’t shorten it that end. Didn’t need to bleed mine after I shortened the hose. You’ll need some cable cutters though.

If by hose guide you mean a black plastic thingy that fits round the seat post you can have mine for free. Never used it

Think cyflym coch is closer to 12km. Did it a few weeks ago for a quick blast on the way home from north Wales. Some nice sections in it and not too much climbing

Have you checked if the pads are worn?

Seriously though, can you ‘claim’ your car is kept at another address? This saved me over £1k a few years ago, although I’m making that up for legal reasons.

I’d avoid SLRhut myself. Can recommend HDEW cameras though. Don’t know what their current price for 5D II is but they are normally very competitive

this happened to my brother. His 6 yr old did the same and racked up a bill of £300 ish. He contacted Apple who refunded him the full amount, but they said don’t make a habit of it! Worth a call

If you can get them brand new for less than that then it’s a bargain. It’s a very solid camera, much more than the canon 650 d model, and fits much nicer in the hand too

I know crazy, same for the lenses. Canon 7D great camera, bought mine from HDEW Cameras a few months ago, now around £775 body only.

Yeah I’ve got a holy Moses, standard white LED, medium lens. It’s hard to know what a 2500 lumens should be like, but it’s certainly a lot brighter than my Hope R4’s, which are a 1000 lumen, but I was expecting them to be a bit brighter. Maybe a narrow lens would have been better to go with my hope headlight. Having said that it’s still plenty of light. I went for the QR 5200 battery. Everything’s really well made although the bar attachment could be better

Mild and wet winter = horrible (although wont stop me going out on bike and having slidey fun in the mud)
Cold freezing winter = happy days. Even better if it snows. I love cold crispy winters as much as hot summery days

The guys I ride with all have different bikes. Everything from rigid singlespeed to hardtails to 140mm travel trail bikes and a couple of 200mm full sus bikes. Some have cheap bikes, some have expensive bikes. Some suffer a bit more on the climbs, but make up for it on the downs and vice versa. We all ride the same stuff and we all have fun, which is what it’s all about.

no do the climb properly, afterall its mountain biking not road

As Wallop said, expect a tough technical climb early on. It’s fairly short but tough all the same. I don’t wear pads but if you normally do I can’t see no reason not to. There’s nothing technically hard on the descent, bloody good fun with the brakes off. You can also shortcut back up to the final descent (or the end section of the DH) if you want a second go

As Ian said just say ‘if you trust me, why would you read them’ and also say that if you had something to hide you could easily open another email account she wouldn’t know about, although that could make things worse ;-P

its removable so if you want mmx you get rid of the metal lump, if not you use it

    creamegg

As far as I know the MMX makes no difference so all you need is LH remote with correct diameter and length for what you need.

what are you guys doing to it for it to round off? Had mine for 2 1/2 years and its like new and I remove my wheels after every ride. You only need to screw it in using the lever until it’s screwed all the way in and let the QR do the rest.

Ive got a cheapish pair of Vans for mountain biking but they are seriously crap in the wet as they soak all the water up to the extent you can actually feel the weight of the added water. They are equally crap on walking on anything muddy as they have no grip, it’s like walking on ice. Great grip on the bike when its dry though

Give orange a call or have a look in halfords, I noticed they had small packs of grommets the other day and they looked about the right size
