Minimum 10% off in my experience. And that’s what they offer without even a mention of a discount from me.

From my understanding bikes bought on credit (via the shop) costs the shop a certain percentage so if your paying by cash/debit there’s always scope for negotiation.

You’ll get used to it without. What size chainring you planning to use on 1×10? On a 32t the chain might catch on the xt spider arms, but seems ok on my 32t hope chainring. It does catch slightly but not enough for it to be an issue

Yes its infinitely adjustable, it just means the saddle will be higher at full extension than what your current set up is. You may actually want it higher, or you could put up with it lowering it to your preferred height or go for the 100mm reverb which will require slightly less lowering.

My set up leaked air from the cap which made it hard work to get up to pressure but a bit of glue around the cap/valve sorted that.

I use a 10mm spanner (the round end) to hold the kinked hose to hold the pressure in the bottle. When up to pressure just pull spanner away to release the air.

Didn’t even need the ghetto tubeless inflator on my current wheelset (ZTR flows) as they pumped up using a track pump but it works perfectly for my other wheelset.

I’d go for the longer one myself.
On my FS bike theres no room to fit the right hand lever on the underside of the left hand side so its on the top right hand side.

On my hardtail (1×10) theres room on the left so its gone on the underside. I prefer the use of the one on the right as I find it easier to operate with my right hand if i’ve left it a bit late to adjust and Im already on the rough stuff.

I haven’t had to do one in the last 3+ years running tubes

That might be so but i wouldn’t say it’s typical for most riders running tubes. I know it wasn’t the case for me. Don’t know where you ride, but where I ride you won’t be able to avoid thorns for that long, and then there’s punch flats on top. With the group I ride with there’s probably 1 tube repair over ride on average. When I changed tyres a few months back the tyre that came off had over a dozen large thorns in it. That would have meant at least a dozen trail side repairs.

I can only say from my experience, but after running tubes for years before going tubeless, I wouldn’t even consider going back.

Yes, ive done it a few times. Youll need some pliers to push them apart

…and of course it will be so much easier to patch the tyre than it would be to replace an inner tube…

Not that even patching its that hard, the main point is that he didn’t have to do it on the trail. Not had to do a trail side puncture repair in the 12 months ive gone tubeless. Wish i had converted sooner. I cant think of a single advantage of running tubes.

Think you could use a bb30 adaptor and it would work?

Forget what i said. Will work the other way round

Ive had a gamut chain device with the aluminium bash on my five. Not dropped a chain once.

On my new 1×10 im hoping the clutch mech alone will do the job.

Can a bathroom actually be installed though? Surely it’s the fittings that are installed?

I went for half a size up based on that I might be wearing thick socks in the winter. This means they’re a teeny bit big for thin socks although not too much that its a problem.

IME Sunset aren’t very good unless they think you’re spending lots of money.

My experience of Sunset is the opposite. I’ve gone in there several times prepared to part with my money and they’ve sorted it free of charge. Ok I end up buying the odd bits n bobs as I’m looking round the shop but good experience overall. My default LBS. If they haven’t got what I want I’ll give Don Skene a visit.

I taught myself HTML and CSS using Dreamweaver by following some free video tutorials on Create the Net.com. You need to keep following the videos, even if they don’t make sense at first, but after a while it all falls into place.

Ive got a few basic websites up now. It started to get beyond me as soon as I was getting into php, but if all you need is a basic (static) website then it’s all fairly straight forward.

Edit. Create the net has a website and loads of videos on you tube.

Even if you no not need it to comply with the regs it may be in your best interest to improve fire safety and insulation values?

    creamegg
    Free Member

In that case you have no requirement to comply with the current regs

Edit. Although it may depend when it was first used as a bedroom.

Main issue will be to comply with Part B. You will need fire doors to provide a protected escape route from the loft unless you can provide means of escape windows from the loft- max 4500mm above ground level, and max 1100mm above the loft floor level.

How old is the property, and is the loft original and does it have previous consent?

    creamegg

You cant claim against building control. Its not legally possible as far as i know.

It was up to you or whoever you employed to comply with the regs.

I use both bike-discount and bike-components. If I have a bulk order to make it worthwhile the postage cost they will be my default choice over the likes of CRC as prices are often better and delivery times also very good.

You cant go wrong with Shimano. Have XT’s on my new bike and so far so good. I have Hope V2’s on my other bike which are also very good, but for the money you can’t beat the Shimanos.

They perform differently; the XT’s have a much stronger initial bite but overall braking power is similar.

I wouldn’t say distance is accurate. A difference of 4km was recorded on a 30kmn ride between my mates Strava via I-phone and my Garmin device. Large difference on the total climb as well. Could be either or both out though.

supply and demand. If you don’t want it don’t buy it. I’m not saying im happy paying that sort of money but someone is, otherwise they wouldn’t have a business
