Xt shifters are a lot nicer than slx though. Xtr is prob even nicer but i thrash my bikes so not worth considering spending the money.

you can do them as described in the OP but i prefer to drop the lowers. Much easier, prob quicker and you can give the stanchion a good clean at the same timen and no risk of scratching forks.

Use the open end of a spanner to gently wrench the seals out.

I thought it was ok but found it stupidly slow on my phone and defaulted to dollars. Was too slow to load and search- was using it as a price guide whilst walking round Evans store yesterday. Gave up in the end. The old site used to work great on my phone

By the sound of your diet your taking in less calories than me and I’m losing quite a lot of ( excess) weight at the moment. So either your kidding yourself about your actual diet/ snacks inbetween or your not active enough. Of you think you can cut your diet further have slightly smaller portions

internet is your friend, and always try and fix yourself before taking to your LBS- take time to learn how your bike works- it’s really not that hard. Invest your money in tools instead

There’s no allowance for a fire exit.

Are you sure? I don’t think you’re that familiar with the B Regs are you?

Not sure what he expected without getting planning, deserves to be ripped down IMO.

your butchering an old top so you’ll look like a hill billy anyway so does it matter if you have a few loose threads?

I use Hoya HD filter (UV maybe- I cant remember) to protect the lens (already saved a smashed lens once where the cap came off unnoticed).

I also have some Hoya polarizing filters, think they are HD too.

And finally I have a nice set of Lee filters- Big stopper, a 6 stop ND and a set of hard grad filters. Comes in handy for landscapes and long exposures. Using filters has nothing to do with not being able to expose correctly!

On my xc bike with 1×10 setup I run a RH lever upside down on the left.
On my other bike which is 2 x 10 I cant get it to fit on the left so its on the RH on top of the bars. Ergonomically there’s not much in it- I probably prefer the one on the right but that’s probably because i’m right handed.
If I could fit it on the left side though I would just so it’s less likely to get damaged.

Even though the car park at CyB is always packed the number and length of trails spread the riders out and its never felt busy out on the trail in my experience (not including the first few km from the centre)

Penmachno’s ok and has some cracking sections but given the choice id go for the beast at coed y brenin. More fun descents for the amount of climbing

I would go clockwise. It’s the only way I’ve done it but I can’t see what you’d get out of it going in reverse.

Love the Gap DH section. Very rocky first section- will shake every bone in your body if you hit it fast. The last section of the run is also loads of fun at speed.

Edit:I’d start/finish at Talybont on Usk and have a pint in either White Heart or The Starr at the end

Hope. Although I haven’t yet had the need to re-grease or carry out any maintenance after 3years+ of being my only bike, used all year round.

Not sure where your based but Ty Mawr (near Brecon) do courses. I did a one day course with my mate and we plastered the whole of his house. Looks good too. If you want to learn about lime plaster, Ty Mawr is good for that. You could combine the training with a mtb trip

Ive turned them off on mine as i found them irritating. I cant remember exactly what i did as it was a long time ago. But what i know is that i follow tracks rather than routes if that makes sense? I think that effect it
