Drain inspections are quite expensive, in my opinion the money would be better spent on sorting the issue out.

recently had cctv survey done, cost £75/hour (min charge £150 though)so not that expensive. (not London prices though)

Vice is easiest if you’ve got one to hand. Sometimes the end caps pop off easily, other times not so easy and requires some swearing 😉

what welshfarmer said. Usually spaces (at £4 a pop) available with minimal waiting time ime. East to mix a few climbs with a few uplifts.

Climb is not that bad anyway- I prefer the fire road that runs parallel with the singletrack climb, steep in one bit- rest is easy, takes about 25 mins (average fitness)

Photography, but not done much recently due to mountain biking taking priority- how could it not with all this mud and rain 😆

There are plenty of triple cranks around- what type are you looking at?

You could use a Hope integrated bash on a double set up if you really wanted to, and there may be other options. But plenty of triple cranks out there, unless things have changed drastically in the last 6 months?

I use dry lube even through winter. Needs lubing before every ride but worth it for a clean chain.

Edit: new chain needs lubing imo

Cwmcarn XC trails. Not doing the new one agen til I find a route to the top that doesn’t involve the horrific mess of the somme on the way up.

Did it this morning, wasn’t that bad. Could tell you a route up to bypass the signed route but its not tarmaced so you probably wont like it either

If its scored you can see scratches on the inside or you can feel them if poke something inside. Just replace at remote end if rest of hose is undamaged

Yeah not cheap but cheaper than the hopes and takes 5 mins for a full strip down and rebuild. The AMP pedals are lighter but not as grippy as the defacto

I recently swapped my steel 500 spring to a ti spring 450 as ive lost a lot of weight. However according to the spring table calculator on CC website i was in-between the two, but Loco advised on going on the softer spring and use the dampers in the shock to tune it in.

When i swapped the coil over i kept the same settings as i previously had but added 1 full turn of LSC. I am going to start from scratch tho using the following base tune advised by cane creek, and play around with settings from there. Ive also got a list of settings from other people- some find by searching the forum. No idea what my current settings are as ive played about with them over the years but will make a note of them before changing anything.

    Cc base settings for five:
    HSC – 2.5
    LSC – 13
    HSR – 2.0
    LSR – 11

Something like Vans skater shoes will be just as grippy, if not more. They’re not as stiff though and soak water up like a sponge

can’t be gagging for it that bad if you cant even face a 25 minute climb.

8-10 runs is achievable on a non-uplift. hard going but still achievable, and im not even that fit

It was dead the other day (weekend) with loads of spare room on the uplift (£4 per run) you could pedal up some runs and jump on the uplift on other runs

most places ive hired ski / boards from are happy to swap kit over.

personally I think skiing’s easier and hurts hell of a lot less when you get it wrong
