I’ve got both Hope and Shimano on various bike. Given the choice I’d go for the Hopes.

From Twrch trail where the short steep concrete path (near end / start of final descent) is carry on up the fire road a fair bit then there’s a track on the right.

Not sure it’s fully open due to the forestry work but have a look at the website, should say

Mine needed some persuasion on one side. The bushing was pretty mangled and jamming up the pivot.

If you place the order with Endura now you may be in with a chance to get it before Easter

I’m surprised no ones mentioned you should go tubeless. In all the years I’ve gone tubeless I’ve only had one puncture that failed to seal (caused by a spike entering and exciting the tyre so no real chance for the tubeless to work). Out of a group of 13 of us that went to the Alps last year only those using tubes had punctures (several of them). I’m surprised people still use tubes these days as tubeless is much better, less faff than tubes and far more reliable. Any particular reason you’re against tubeless?

Did I mention tubeless is awesome and would solve your puncture problem?

Nonsense they last as long as the tyre does

I’ve only ever followed the Rockshox video on you tube and the bleed’s been successful every time. Can’t say I’ve experienced leaky seringes either. Always thought reverbs were one of the easiest things to bleed, and only takes 5 minsutes.

Edit: I always (or at least nearly always) add a seringe both ends (as per RS video) finishing with seringe at remote end only

Another vote for Straitline Defacto. Pricey but 42% off at CRC at the moment. I’ve had a few pedals over the years and these are my favourite by a long shot.

Yep, I love HD’s on dry hard packed trails but they are pretty useless in mud.

you can download the Approved Documents from the planning portal. They’re quite easy to understand, especially for domestic properties

used parcel force recently which were pretty cheap although had to convince post office to accept it due to size as it wouldn’t fit through their counter hatch. My mrs found a good deal on that parcel comparison site- cant remember what it was called now though

bought our underlay and grippers etc online. Was loads cheaper. Think we went for Cloud 9 underlay. Can’t remember which website though.

was it working before you cut the hose? If so then you cant be bleeding it right, you must be missing something. Have a look at the Rockshox videos on you tube. I found the bleed procedure of the reverbs very easy

I also remove the cores to inflate but never found it hard to keep enough air in when removing the connector.

I’ve got three Reverbs, the oldest is about 3.5 years old and still going strong. Only maintenance they’ve ever had is a squirt of fork juice before most rides.

Out of our group of around 20 regular riders, very few reverbs have gone back for warranty. Everyone who tried a different seatpost is now on a Reverb. I personally wouldn’t consider anything else.

Probably will be ok, rode mine months after they needed changing. Saying that it is a 30 minute job tops, and that’s including making a brew

I prefer gorilla / duct tape. Find it lasts longer and less likely to get damaged by tyre levers. Far cheaper at £1 to £2 a roll too. Not had any issues with residue either

In terms of gnarlyness the gap route is pretty mellow. One loose rocky section at the start of the gap but that’s short and not particularly technical. It’s more of a nice ride out in the hills than a challenging ride. Be interested if anyone knows if there’s any decent bits to add onto the loop to make it more interesting.

My tip is to start the loop at talybont, get most of climbing out of the way at the start and finish with a pint!

sorted now… got hold of Microsoft support who remotely fixed it. Something to do with trying to install too many updates in one hit (I had around 60+ in total). Did them in batches of 20 and all updates installed eventually.

Not sure- how will I know which update it is? Its been reverting changes for the last 20 mins so waiting for that to finish.

May go Win 10 in future but the software I use runs better on Win 7 (according to my IT dept in work, and I generally prefer the layout etc)

Wish they did this in my work. Too many free loaders constantly off sick. Some have had more sick days this year than I have had in all my working life (I’m 36 yrs old)and I’m talking a day here and a day there rather than a long period of sickness. Always seem to be towards end of the week too. Another giveaway for one guy is uploading a 80km ride the day after calling in sick. If you’re that sick to need a day off threes no chance you’d be well enough to do that the next day.
