Yes , I did it yesterday . I struggled with the heat despite training really well for it . The encouragement and generosity of the public is overwhelming every single time . Yesterday was my 3rd GNR and fingers crossed I’ll be back next year . I’ve never seen so many people needing first aid ( including defibs ) on a race before . I’m guessing it was mainly heat related and I hope they’re all ok . We got back to the cars luckily just before the heavens opened but spent nearly 2 hours trying to get away from the area after the flash floods closed the metro and lots of roads

3.05 am Monday – Friday. Usually around 6 at weekends. I feel really rough if I sleep in any later than that

Alonia villa , Crete . Excellent villa near melidoni cave . 5 minutes walk to nearest village , very rural but definitely need a car as you’re a bit out the way . The best villa we’ve ever stayed in https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/7317124?adults=1&children=0&infants=0&check_in=2023-04-12&check_out=2023-04-17&source_impression_id=p3_1678676804_ycSr3gsUV6dFYckG

My SIL does this constantly whether it’s in a shop , hotel or restaurant . She’ll polish off all her food in a restaurant then ask to see the manager .” It was too salty , not salty enough , too hot , not hot enough , the waitress had leather shoes on and I’m a vegetarian “ . Usually in the hope of some discount vouchers etc . She too is a weapons grade gobshite

I had my right elbow repaired around 7 years ago and it’s been spot on ever since . A couple of days pain with it and then just being as careful as possible with it for a few weeks . My left elbow has been playing up for a while now exactly the same as the other one 😩

Chevy he only had 1 and a half stone to lose in total 10 months ago but kept saying he was on track . Just yesterday he said to me he’s not really been trying and now he’s starting to worry about it . I’m probably going to postpone it for a while

I was thinking cardio is key and also cutting out all the sugary shit he seems to like . He’s very hard to motivate so that may be the hardest part but We’ve also told him that I’ll do everything that he does so hopefully he’ll see it a little less like torture

Optimax in Liverpool for me around 19 years ago . It was £1190 for both eyes and worth every penny . I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again

ZERO IN ULTRA POWER INSECT PEST KILLER 600ML . £10 from screwfix . I used this 4 months ago combined with tons more vacuuming than usual and I haven’t spotted a single one since

My mum had cats crapping in her garden for months and she tried everything to no avail . She then bought the high pitched doofers and put one at each corner facing inwards and hasn’t had a single cat there since .that was well over 4 months ago now

I usually take a couple of migraleve and 2 ibuprofen and try to sleep . Since I started running a few years ago I reckon they’re definitely less frequent .

I’ve got the 645 music . I’ve had it about 3 years and I use it constantly . The only real issue I have with it is the battery life is woeful when you’re using music and gps together . ( approx 6-7 hours ) . Apart from that it’s sound . You can definitely wear it as a watch but I tend to just use it for running

I was looking at these just last week . A mate of mine has a kitchen showroom in ormskirk and was showing me these because I was asking about options to reduce cooking smells . I’ve also taken an interior wall down and now I’m more aware of smells . He said out of all the available options that’s the one he’d recommend to me but they’re not cheap .

Hi , a workmate of mine has an old festina watch he is wanting to wear again . He broke the leather strap years ago but now wants to replace it with a metal one but festina said they don’t do a metal one for it . Does anyone have any idea where would be best to start looking ? . I’m struggling trying to post photos also . It’s not your regular strap with a straight edge with a spring bar through but it’s got a narrower middle section with a shorter bar and that fits into an inset cutout at the top and bottom of the watch face . I’m probably not describing it very well but as soon as I figure out photos I’ll get some on . Thanks

Dear god mate , I don’t know you and have never met you but you have my heartfelt sympathies. I can’t even begin to fathom your pain but as countless others have said before me if you need anything or to shout and scream at someone just give us a shout

Powerbeats pro user here . I can’t tell you how many different pairs of headphones / buds I’ve tried over the years but these are by far the best . Lots tend to fall out when I’m running due to sweat and movement but the Powerbeats pro don’t move at all due to the over ear loop .

My mum has 4 of the ultrasonic ones in her garden , one on each corner facing inwards . Probably a bit of overkill but hasn’t spotted a single cat in 2 months now. She tried coffee grounds, citrus peels and all kinds of weird stuff but nothing works like the ultrasonics. They have the added bonus of getting on the grandkids nerves

Exactly what cookie_monster said. I’ve replaced 2 now on my 59 plate be Jetta and it’s outer doorskin off and then just take your time with all the fiddly bits . Took around an hour and a half each time
