Just fitted some Duranos (normal, not S) and got a flint through the front tyre on my first ride. Slashed the tube. Managed to finish my ride with it though. Guess it could be one of those things, bit disappointed though.

Heres one to confuse you but was a rapidly delivered quip…

Me a Chinese and a Indian girl was about to walk into a Scottish pub. Aman smoking at the door said ‘we dont want your sort here’.

One of the girls shotback ‘speak English I cant understand you’.

I almost fell over laughing at the situation.

He didnt walk into the pub. Or if he did it was sheepishly.

Hora I would guess he was talking to you not her.

+1 Google Navigation. Live traffic. Use it even alongside the sat nav with built in TMC data in my car because Google Traffic seems to be better.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance – Robert M Pirsig, I don’t necessarily understand all of his musings but it’s the one book i’d save if my house burned down.

    Exactly the same here.

Great! I figured I must have been searching for the wrong thing. Many thanks.

If I get a claim company to progress for me, can they check this by enhanced credit checks for example, then they send me all the forms to sign or will they turn their noses up at the thought of having to do some work?

Yes, they do all of this and they are happy to because they take a cut.

Can those who have used a company to get recourse advise on who to use? Id imagine those that take the lowest cut.

    Yes, who is good?

He’s even got posh red hacksaw blades, like the Queen uses!

Very, very nice. Nice workstand, nice chairs, you must be one hell of a guy.

If you’re a well organised person with records of past accounts and loans then certainly ignore the claims companies.

My Father who had literally not a scrap of paperwork from the last 10 years went with a claims company who got him 6k less 20%, for loans he didn’t even recall, so he was happy with that.

Just to add a bit of balance. As others have said, avoid claims companies if you can but if not there’s no harm in letting them try and find some compensation for you, that bit’s free.

Well, I’ve had to use C&N Cycles Redhill a couple of times.

not only have I NEVER felt ripped off, but actually the contrary, that they simply haven’t charged enough.

Yep, used them recently to do some work on my road bike that I didn’t fancy doing myself and they were prompt, courteous and inexpensive. They also tweaked my front brake as part of the job.

bit non-plussed by this idea that you can’t just install something – it all has to go through The Store? is that really the case?

No. You can install just the same as Windows 7.

I also like it. Takes a bit of getting used to, but performance-wise it is a big improvement over Windows 7, in fact I am very surprised by how much better certain programs run, as well as how much quicker boot time is.

I am a big keyboard (shortcut) user which helps with the latest version – I think some people will struggle with certain aspects (removal of Start button), but if you take a bit of time to understand the differences then I think it helps a lot.

Double thumbs up, best OS yet would use again.

I find most tv cookery shows pretty difficult to masturbate over, but Nigella’s is definitely easier than Saturday Kitchen.

    Banned!

“Armstrong has no place in cycling” UCI recognises the USADA report.

If you register to raise money for Cancer Research and raise £500 you get £50 off, so £150.

I guess it’s still quite spendy in a way. It’s quite a good one in terms of not taking up too much time away from the family. I’m guessing a pass for La Marmotte / Etape would be harder to come by 🙁
