Love my Fox Launch Pro, wear them even for an hour spin. I don’t even notice I’ve got them on really.

Just ordered myself a IXS Trail RS EVO from CRC, £59 in the sale.

Thanks SaxonRider. Doesn’t seem to be much else at that price point on CRC that looks half decent. May take the gamble then.

Sorry to bump an old thread but wondering if anyone now has one of these? Looking for a new sub £50 helmet and I have a £50 CRC voucher so has to be from there.

I tried 16/8 for around a month. Fasting 8pm until 12pm the next day. I generally train / ride at night so I was ok. I’d have a small meal at 12pm to break my fast, then a small meal at around 5pm before I left work, go the gym or ride then have my largest meal at 8pm. It was great, I lost almost a stone in that month and the hunger in the morning passed after around a week.

I only stopped when I went on holiday. I will be starting again soon. If you want to workout fasted then its recommend to take some BCAA’s beforehand.

I need to replace my BB92, should I use Loctite 641 / 609? or grease?

Just looking at the same myself. Hertz currently have 15% in Europe. The cheapest car that comes up, almost half the price of the next car which is an economy model is an Audi A5 Sportback, not sure why it’s so cheap to be honest. Does anyone know if I would fit 2 large cases and 2 small cases in the boot of one?

Lots of good stuff if you have local knowledge. If your new to the area yo could look at joining The Woollybacks, they do quite regular rides at Delamere.

The Calibre Line 10 or the Boardman if you don’t like the look of the Voodoo. They are all great bikes and at that price there the best brands to look at. Don’t let the names put you off, the specs are great for the price. You’ll be paying for a brand name and getting a worse spec if you go others by more sought after brands

The Boardman is great bike for the money, 10% if your a member of British Cycling also.

Linked In, I’ve been approached by a few companies on there, much prefer that then dealing with recruiters. Nothing in or close to Wigan by any chance?

    I ordered them from ciclisport.com

Not used them before but they had the best price and free delivery.

In the end I went with a Butcher and Purgatory, 2.3 x 27.5 in Grid casing, got the pair for £52.44, seems a decent deal I think.

Cheers Northwind, I think I’ll go with them. Just need to decide on colour now.

We fitted an engineered floor to the whole downstairs and opted for floating it. We had a mix of concrete and floorboards. Floating seemed the easiest option and so far it’s been perfect except for a small area that feels a bit bouncy but the concrete underneath had a small dent (whoops!)

I also managed to get the floor extremely wet in the kitchen with a dishwasher leak and it dried out fine. The flooring came from here and I would recommend them, we used this underlay.

eBay or here, can sell items for 5% less on here and be better off than selling on eBay though.

Purg & Butcher combo seems a reasonable price compared to the Maxxis stuff. I think I’ll go with them.

OK, I did have the combo in 26 and they seemed ok, Chunky Monkey was good until it got muddy.

Any other suggestions for something reasonably priced?

What’s the overall length? I think its 380mm when looking online for the 100mm command post and the 125mm command post is 420mm. So you need a 125mm dropper with an overall length of 380mm or close to.
Stealth Reverbs are 390mm and normal are 380mm so they might do the trick?

Thanks, both have pros and cons then. The one in the classifieds is the Team and not the Pro unfortunately, plus it’s the wrong size :(

Thanks didn’t know about the vouchers! Still can’t decide between the 2. Bossnut isn’t avalible yet though so may well be the Boardman. How are the tyres?

I fitted one of these, after recommendations from here. Very happy with it (if you’re after an inline)

Also fitted one of these, a lot less flapping about –

I’ve run a Chunky Monkey in 26″ flavour and really liked it. I was tempted to order the Chunky Monkey / Smorgasbord combo in 27.5 when I get a new bike, but seem liked mixed feelings about them in this size?

I was planning on using the British Cycling 10% off. So £1215.

Cheers everyone, sounds like it’s more popular than the Bossnut, I’d go for the new Bossnut if it was in stock as it’s £200 cheaper, but not sure when they are arriving!

Great bike but you could get the Boardman FS Pro for a similar price with BC discount or the Calibre Bossnut for less than that, and they both have a better spec, that does come with a dropper, but you could get the Bossnut and a dropper and still it would be slightly cheaper.

When did you buy your home and how did you find it?

    2016, Rightmove

Did you view a similar property and the agent put you on to it?

    Nope

Did the agent have you on their books and call you about a new one?

    Nope

    Walk past the shop?

    Nope

    Walk past the house?

    Yes

    RightMove?

    Yes

We actually found the property on Rightmove but wasn’t sure about it, then drove past and really liked it. The estate agent had put really bad photos and rubbish description. I think that helped us get it at a decent price. Some of the other houses we looked at had amazing photos and great descriptions, they kind of built the houses up to be something they wasn’t.

I wanted to build some muscle through the winter, I managed to get stronger and loose some fat. I’d now be quite happy to loose a bit more weight and stay at these numbers until next winter, where I’d hope to build on my strength / muscle again.

I’m also not doing Stronglifts, I’m running Fierce 5, its quite similar though. I have gone from 3 workouts a week over winter, to 2 workouts a week and started cycling again.

Yes dieting, eating around 1800 kcals, at 12 stone, 5ft8, so not drastic. I’m squatting 10kg over bodyweight for back squats. I’m considering changing to squats just once a week now I’ll hopefully be riding more as the nights get lighter and the weather hopefully gets better.

Do you think dropping the weight and moving to 12 reps with strict form, instead of 5 help at all?

Anyone else squatting twice a week, feel like its affecting there cycling? I back squat on a Monday and front squat on a Wednesday, even by Saturday my legs are sore when I go for a ride.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I think its worth a punt then. Where do you get it for £16? Seems to be £25 ish where I’ve seen them.
