Get on the ferry to Strandperle, nice place to sit and have a beer.

Thanks everyone. I’ve tried to bleed them 3 times using the Epic Bleeds guide but I have to pull the lever twice for it to work, if I just pull it then it doesn’t seem to push the pistons far enough to engage. Sometimes it will but sometimes it won’t, I have to pre-pull the brake to be sure its going to work.

Winstanleys is closest so I may give them a call first. Not heard of Golborne cycles, look good to.

The bike shop at Delamere (Tracs) does a shop ride, but I think its on a Thursday. Worth giving them a call to see though.

Thanks Phil. I’ve ordered new dust seals and foam rings, might as well do it right. How hard is it to install the dust seals without the proper tool?

Ok, so looks like I’ve pulled off and snapped the energiser spring from the underneath of one of the dust seals, both top energiser springs are still in place. Will this be a problem? Or should I go and order some new dust seals?

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately one of the old seals is snapped :( looks like no riding tonight. There Sektors off a 2017 Trance (Silver, Solo Air). Everywhere I can see says they are 10mm and that’s what came in the kit (off eBay) but mine are more like 6mm.

Just checked the ones that looked the same that I slung in the bin, turns out their not the same, the new ones are about double the thickness :(

I’ve got an Torchy 8800mAh 8 Cell battery pack and charger if your interested? Used for about 2 years but still powers my light for 3 hours with juice left in it.

Sorry for the thread hijack, I can’t help I’m afraid but I have an Exposure question.

My Toro mk9, when you fully charge it and change modes the countdown clock displays the correct time 3 hours, 6 hours, whatever, except for when I put it in Reflex 3 hour mode (A3), it always displays 2:49, no matter how much I charge it, but if I change to non Reflex modes the countdown is always spot on. Can it be reset / re-calibrated somehow?

Not any help I’m afraid but I tried Shoegoo myself and found it just came off after a few rides. Also looked into having them repaired but you can sometimes pick them up in the sale for £60ish so doesn’t seem worth bothering.

Shimano 10 / 11 speed MTB is the same as 9 speed, so will fit your hub. Also a lot of shifters have a little switch on the rear to change from 2x / 3x. I would be looking at moving to 1×10/11 though.

Might be of help, not sure if its the same. Peter Poddy’s conversion guide –

Llandegla I think, as much for the cafe as the trails.

I’m on my second Giant Trance and IMO there great and properly sorted bikes.

The Calibre is a great price but it would still need a dropper, I’d go for the Trance, be harder if the price was closer but for £500 it would be an easy decision for me.

Surprisingly I couldn’t find anything either. Could you use a lockblock to attach the lock to a strap on the bag perhaps?

Cheers. I’ll have a play round see if there is any slack on the cables.

I use a Garmin Edge Touring for that sort of thing. Purchased after being recommended on here by others.

Received these and used them twice now. Fits spot on, same as all my other Endura stuff and seem very comfy (first bibs I’ve had). I can fit a 2L bladder in them which is good. Only issue is the hose from the bladder, you don’t really have anywhere to keep it, there’s a hook on the bibs but that ends up under your jersey.

As above the cheap ones seem to have a rough looking finish. Lots of reports of them being fake on Amazon reviews and people having issues with them. The one on the OP’s photo looks pretty good for a fake though to be fair.

Where did you purchase it from? Lot of fakes on eBay / Amazon.

Finally got to the bottom of this with help from BETD (great customer service). Looks like the drop out had bent, managed to hammer it back into shape and get the hanger fitted. All sorted!

Looks just like mine. Here’s my broken one and the BETD one –

I’ve emailed BETD so I’ll see if they can point me in the right direction.

    I own 2 –

One for going out (Smarter watch) and the other for everything else, work, gym, rides, etc (FitBit).

Interesting, is yours the Boardman Team FS 2016? Black and orange one? It seems almost right but doesn’t quite sit in the frame, like the cut on the rear is stopping it sitting into the frame.

I assume the hose has to sit under your jersey also? Which makes it slightly less convenient?

It’s more for shorter rides so hopefully will do the job. I like the look of the RaceFace one but it doesn’t seem to be in stock anywhere.

Ended up ordering them from AlpineTrek, £5 off for signing up to newsletter so they come to £58.95 delivered. I’ll post an update when I’ve used them.

I work for a small MSP and we have sold and supported lots of different antivirus packages but now sell and support Sophos. It really is one of the best at the moment, just make sure to go for the Sophos Intercept X Advanced version. Its not the cheapest but is a great tool to help defend against ransomware.

Never met Mark either but read his story on here, really thought things would turn around in some sort of miracle. So sad, condolences to the family. RIP.
