I forgot to update this, as they just needed proof I worked where I said I did, they allowed me to provide a print out from HMRC. Just in case anyone else is in the situation in future.

Nothing until 12 for me, otherwise I feel breakfast makes me hungrier.

If I’m feeling fat though or a day out on the bike, it’s McDonalds or Greggs.

Cheers, sounds like I’m best using the car park then. It was just for a post ride cafe / pub.

Any reason not to just tell them you’re leaving now?

    In case it falls through

Tell the new employer no. There’s no way I’d resign without my vetting being done even if I was 100% sure that I’d get through it.

I work in financial services so get this a lot, and whilst we do want a reference from the current/last employer, we know we can’t always get it. They should have systems in place to deal with this.

The problem is they won’t offer a start date without vetting / clearance being complete.

If you want new, maybe this –

    https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Boardman-MHT-8-6-Mountain-Bike-2021-Hardtail-MTB_230127.htm

    And a dropper –

Slightly over budget, but that Nukeproof is much better value if you don’t mind buying used.

Thanks everyone, I’ll see how my glasses are when they come back again. If Specsavers get them right, maybe I should stick with them. I’d love to go for laser but I’m 34 this year and my prescription is still changing :(

I think you’ll struggle in the UK, you could order from one of the German sites –

Suffer with this myself, bringing my brake levers up to just below flat has helped for me, not 100% but definitely better.

A friends got the Whyte Bikes E-160 RS and is very happy with it, the battery removal is a pain but they never have any need to remove it.

I’ve got a Cube Stereo Hybrid with the same Bosch motor and am also very happy with it. The Whyte does seem better built / sealed for UK weather.

It’s a medium. The goggles don’t feel tight on my face, there only just touching my face, no matter how tight I do them up.

If that makes any sense, I’ve never had a full face or goggles before, so maybe it’s normal?

Ok, I’ve tried a few more and none fit as snug with the helmet as they do without, they’re not tight up against my face.

Is this just how they fit with a helmet?

    This version – https://www.wiggle.co.uk/met-parachute-full-face-helmet-1

Not sure which version is it? It’s not the new MCR one.

Ok well that’s pushed me to pull the trigger on a MET Parachute, seem to be on offer most places for around £110 so I’ll see how it feels, thanks everyone.

    Anyone tried the Havoc Trousers?

Just today received a twin pack of Deco M4, put my Virgin Router in Modem mode, downloaded TP Link app and ran through the wizard, must of took around 10 minutes from start to finish.

Ditched my old Powerline adapters, works a treat and been great all day. Only time will tell but happy so far. I found with the Powerline adapters they worked fine for around 30 hours, then I’d have to reboot them.

Thanks everyone, I think I’ll take the camera and have a practice locally as suggested. See if I enjoy playing around and watch some tutorials first.

Ok thanks, so definitely sounds like it’s worth picking the camera up. I’ll have a look on YouTube to.

Suggestions on what lens to buy / hire?

Did quite well for the first 3-4 months of 2021 learning guitar with Justin Guitar, then just missed a few days and barely touched it again all year.

Time to start again tonight, 10-15 mins a day.

Also any recommendations for online language learning?

Don’t have to be warm as I don’t mind wearing leggings under for colder days. Knee pads aren’t a deal breaker as I do have a pair of Endura trousers if needed.

Keela Roadrunners look like a good option, hadn’t considered, are they a slim fit? Don’t want anything too baggy.

Just sent mine back for same reason, similar age. Quoted me £15 to repair it and that includes return postage.

    I emailed returnsteam@endura.co.uk with photos.

I used to live in Salford and would pop to Rivington or Darwen Moor for my night rides.

There was a group on here doing weekly night rides at Rivington in the past, not sure if they still do.

Considering either a Hans Dampf or Big Betty for the rear on my ebike this winter.

Exposure Toro on the bars and an Exposure Joystick on helmet. Never had any issues, this will be the 3rd winter and they work a treat.

MaxxD / Diablo might be better but really depends what your riding, I only really ride local trails that I know quite well so feel I the Toro / Joystick combo is good enough.

Thoughts on Hans Dampf vs Big Betty for a rear winter EMTB tyre?

Thanks @snotrag , unfortunately doesn’t look like they have any 29er Gripper in Supersheild otherwise I’d of given that a go.

I’ll keep an eye out for them in future though.

Perfect timing, looking for a DHR2 but no stock, would these be a good alternative to DHF & DHR combo? Any idea on which casing is similar to Double Down?
