Thanks for the suggestions. Think I’ll park at the Dog & Partridge for a change and see if it’s open when we finish. If not I might head into Settle. Cheers!

Thanks for the link, its opened my options up a lot now I can look at any 650b that will run with 120mm fork.

Still to expensive for me, I will be looking at used options.

I’ve done exactly this with a NS Snabb. supposed to be 650b but running my 26″ wheels on it until the rims die.

Actually rides really well, no problems with pedal strikes or the like, even when compared to the old Enduro SL frame it replaced.

Just check the A2C length on your fork and see what it would do to the angles before committing though. I had quite a long fork to put on (BOS Deville 170mm travel).
Thanks for the advice, I’ll make sure I check it out.

Cheers Liteville might be a bit expensive for me. I could just get a 27.5 Trance then and use my 26 wheels and fork for now.

I used to use the T-Mars dropper before I got a reverb, not bad for the money (£53 delivered) –

Looks spot on that, might give it a whirl. Unless anyone on here wants to sell one they’ve produced?

Yea I’m certainly no expert on the area, just a route I’ve found whilst exploring the place.

Yea Gonzy do it clockwise, easier climb and better descent.

Also as you drive up Cowpe Rd, there is a car park on the opposite side to the first row of houses you get to, normally has an old caravan parked there and says these gates will be locked after such and such a date. I generally park on there and I’ve been informed the gates are never locked.

Can’t comment on condition of the trails but if your more into the red XC stuff then skip Lee and head straight for Cragg. I park on Cowpe Rd and ride straight up to Cragg, this is the route I generally use –

    http://www.bikemap.net/en/route/3159481-cragg-quarry-from-cowpe-mtb/

Park at Cowpe Rd, BB4 7EA. It climbs up Cowpe Rd to Cragg Quarry and will bring you to begining of the trails, after a loop of the trails, connect back onto route and return to Cowpe Road via Pennine Bridleway (rocky descent).

For mountain biking the Garmin Etrex is great and you can pick the Etrex 20 up off eBay for around £70

Does anyone know of a decent bike mount for the Etrex 20? Its a great GPS for the bike but the only mount I’ve tried –

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bike-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Mount-for-Garmin-GPS-eTrex-Dakota-10-20-30-New-/261497169530?hash=item3ce272267a:g:eE0AAOSwrklVJ2Oj

Its terrible, however tight I make it, it either spins round the bar or the Etrex ejects itself.
