Sram’s website has loads of good technical data on how to do it yourself.

    https://www.sram.com/service/include-archived/rockshox/7,434

If its just a lower leg service then it’s pretty straightforward and you don’t need any specific tools.

Due to the missus’s allergies, we went down the mongrel route and have just got a cockapoo.

We’ve had her about a fortnight. She’s mad as a bag of frogs and her favourite new game is to launch herself onto the top of one the garden hedges for the soft landing.

Lizard Skins Chargers in non lock on variety for me. Comfiest grip I’ve tried. Its like the mushroom grips from the 80’s BMX scene so must be good.

My stepdad was diagnosed with asbestosis in his late 50’s (about 7 years ago I think).

While he had to retire early from work as a result, he has been able to manage the symptoms through drugs and lifestyle in such a fashion that they don’t impact his life too much. He does suffer from quite bad breathlessness quite easily though if exerts himself too much.

I’d echo what DbG says regarding the EL claim. Because my step dad had to retire due to ill health as a result of exposure to asbestos in the workplace, he has been successful in claiming loss of earnings as well as a sum for the physical damage inflicted. Hollow victory it may be but at least he’s not on the bread line through no fault of his own.

Fingers crossed for benign as well. Best of luck.

Crag junior has won a ticket in the grandstand in Leeds for the Grand Depart so, with me needing to get her into town before I’ve gone to bed, I’ll be milling about in Leeds centre on Saturday.
    Still undecided about Sunday.

+1 for Orbital – saw them live for the first time about 4 years ago and was totally blown away.

More recently, I saw Drenge and they were amazing live. Pure energy on stage.

I also saw The Subways a few years back and was really impressed with their live show.

-1 for BMRC. I’ve liked their albums for a while but thought their live show was a bit dull tbh.

I know some fat people who are lazy, I’m lazy and thin. Laziness has no correlation to weight.

Cannondale CAAD5 hardtail frames are pretty special imo.
And in terms of full sus, Spesh Enduro has evolved since the dawn of time and always been pretty close to the mark.

If I was day tripping I’d be looking at flying rather than on the boat. In terms of cost, there’s generally not a deal in it and the flights are 20 minutes each way rather than 2 1/2 hrs (4 if on the Ben) on the boat. Oh, and the boats are also likely to run late, even more so during TT.

There’s a few conflicting views regarding the oil type and volume to use.

Some are saying 15ml each leg, others saying 5ml damper, 15ml spring as per Rockshox tech docs while others are saying to use 20w oil compared to the 3wt Sram shock oil suggested by Loco (on the thread referenced up there).

Personally, I’m using the Maxima 3wt shock oil (from Dirtbikebitz) and, for the minute, sticking with the volumes suggesting by the tech docs.

Have you got a definitive answer Loco?? Would putting say 15ml in the damper lower have any detrimental effect? What difference would the wrong weight oil cause?

I’d drop the lowers as soon as you can after purchase. I did on mine before fitting and found less than 5ml in one leg and the other as dry as a nuns piss flap. Not great that they shipped with no oil in the lowers.

I used them a couple of years ago for my Zesty – all arrived without drama. Was thinking of getting another set from them for my Covert so will follow with interest.

I built up my Cannondale hardtail 10 years ago and, other than the frame still have the forks (Marzocchi Marathon), xt rear mech, avid rollamajig, and front wheel (xt & mavic 717 rim) that just refuse to die no matter how much I neglect them.

I used to labour for a plasterer some years back. If the sparky’s left their cables hanging all over the place when first fixing, he’d fill all their socket and light boxes with plaster to make their life difficult, as they had his.

If they took the time to fold all their wires up and out of the way he’d go to great efforts to keep things as tidy and as easy as possible for them when they got back on site.

    I miss site politics.

Only ridden a handful of times but first impressions are very good. Not sure it climbs as well as my trusty old Zesty but seems to descend with much more assurance. Overall quite pleased with it. Just needs some Pikes now……………..

I’ve had a couple of CX200’s in the past and always thought they were really good but then got a set of the Soundmagic E10’s and much prefer them.

I did recently, however, buy some of the MEE M6’s after CountZero’s constant recommendations

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MEElectronics-Over-the-Ear-Sports-Fi-M6-First-gernation-Headset-Bulk-Package-/130982442462?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item1e7f2975de

Been over the ear they have been perfect for running. And the sound quality is as good as the others I’ve tried. In fact I use these all the time rather than the E10’s these days. All for not much more than a tenner.

Got to be worth a punt at that price.

I’ve just ordered a Garmin Forerunner 210 with HRM from CRC which was £134 when using the £10 off discount code (granted, this is a refurb)

Reviews look pretty good if all your after is a running watch.

I’ve lived in one for the last 9 years and love it. Its been converted in the roofspace so there are 2 bedrooms and a water closet upstairs for the kids which leaves loads of living space downstairs.

Its well insulated and double glazed so as warm as any other house I’ve lived in and not a bit of asbestos to be seen.

The bungalow shuffle is coming on a treat.

I’m in the Isle of Man at the minute. Theres a **** great tree thats come over in the wind blocking the road that the MiL lives on which has luckily missed surrounding houses and cars.
We managed to go the long way round and drive 45 minutes to the airport to catch our flight back at 9am only to be told that it had been re-scheduled for 7pm as the inbound couldn’t land. Flying with Easyjet so could still be here into next week. So yeah, its a bit windy here.

That response from RM is appalling – I’m struggling to see the legality of it, never mind the moral implications.

Fair play to Mojo – faith in human nature is restored a little.

Leeds fan here and can’t stand that old man Ken Bates. Was only ever at the club for his own gains.

Him and Terry Venables. Media whore who was completely out of touch with the club – why would you play Paul Okon instead of Dacourt or Batty ffs?!?
