Have a look at backpackinglights honey & hive stoves. Honestly brilliant. Not that expensive, the hive works as a bbq the honey as a great wood burner. Many a campsite I’ve had great comments on it, especially by the staff normally. Some whinger has said I’ve got a fire, talked ymto the site staff… They pop down and say its the best safest thing they have seen. Get us more wood and join in the chat. Try one, never regret it.

I like it, showing off all the great bits around Hebden, the rides, the scenery, the pubs and the bike shop. Cant speak for Tod mind! Think its a good way of making people on here see local business and have a bit of fun.

Best stove at the moment is the Kovea Spider, great attachments for travelling or running it cheap. Really well made, light, sturdy and 4 season. Really well priced too, especially if you get one from Korea with the strong pound at the moment.

Best all round stove Ive used in ages.

Always scratch. Its ace, scratch 2.0 with its online aspect is good, it takes some getting used to. But its great. Don’t entertain anything else for a year or so.

Then maybe as others have said app builder.

I teach computing, building on the vb work we do for those wishing to do apps I use basic4android. Very good, lots of help, fairly easy too.

Look into it if you want to try your hand at it. It’s very enjoyable.

There are some great tracks round mirfield. I’d park at the station or train in and go from there.

Really like Quo, but have to say that after looking at the web maps I cant see much that’s different to Bing maps and the OS setting.

Hope this product is really developed to be a true web end to their great mapping sofware

PHD everytime. I have a Yukon Smock, made to measure, good to minus 15. Feels nice, box wall construction.

Really not as expensive as you think considering it is made to fit, which by the sounds of your comments is important.

Could stw maybe have a clubs tab on the top. Clubs could be submitted, vetted then linked up on a google map by location. Like the trails bit. Just a thought.

The active shirt is one of the, if not the, most used bit of kit I own. Good for running cycling, hiking, and loafing around.

Ill replace mine the second it goes. Only bit of kit I’ve ever written to the manufacturers to say how much I thought of it.

    think about a quasar ultralight.
best of both worlds, you physically can not beat a quasar.
the ultralight is nice and easy to carry for a normal man. I use a non ultralight one normally.
sports direct have them cheapish every now and again.

    hope this helps

Right, haven’t read the entire thread so don’t know if these has been mentioned. But…

I’d have staff that respect any level of knowledge in the punters. Nothings winds me up more than being made to feel stupid if I don’t have an encyclopedic knowledge of what I’m asking about.

This however is the second issue to having a great notice board. Make it a prominent thing that people go in for to meet people, organise rides, share routes, share meets etc. Really the best thing that can be done.

    just my two penneth!

I use the walking highlands GPS planner, free and really good.

It suits my needs and thats the most important thing, I can print from it, load a GPX or save a planned GPX.

I keep all the GPX files then on my comp rather than a cloud based soln such as TrailZilla.

Does anyone have any other views?
