I’m surprised at people suggesting that its no good helmet mounted off road? Homecome?? I don’t have one but was really thinking about getting one for off road helmet riding duties.

    Thanks

I have had no issues with 123 Reg, I’d recommend them to anyone.

I also have an active light shirt, albeit a slightly older one, I think they changed the rip stop.

Its a great top, use it most of the year. Its really tough, so loads of grit doesn’t wear or split the fibers. Its Mega vented too.

    Ill buy another.

Think they were Rochdale Cycling Club. It did make me smile and was a nice idea.

Yeah, since they bought it there does seem to be a bit more effort put into the marketing.

I would love to see some more films up, something like the Red Bull series I enjoy watching, but based here in the UK.

Bootstrap everytime. Really enjoyable to learn with, lots of fun and nice end results.

    My Website in Bootstrap

Enjoyed making this and shared it a few weeks ago, looking at doing the changes while adding more routes to it.

Looks like my bookcase is worth more than I thought!

Its a nice book and there’s an enjoyment in sitting with some music on and a nice beer penciling in all the updates from the website.

But still, that’s a lot of money! I presume the pricing algorithm goes a bit funny leading up to Chrimbo.

I keep mine on the qr as if it were ever to fail mid ride I could lift it as high as I dare relatively easily.

Sort of a built in redundancy.

How about reeth? Good routes that are pretty stable all year round.

I find the Buffalo active shirt a good soft shell jacket. Much lighter than their mountain shirts. Much more versatile. If mine ever gives up the ghost, ill get another that day.

Over the top if needed I have an old but often reproofed haglofs l.I.m jacket. Light goretex.

    Have you tried Stack Overflow?

Couldnt be a better area for Mountain Biking in my opinion. However some aspects of North Leeds or Skipton are nearly as close with better links and facilities.

Depends what you are moving for.

The paper is brilliant, much better than laminating.

Make your own for very little with the R Pi Pi Noir Camera. This mounted on a board with some IR LEDs would be fine.

Ultimate bike solution. Its fantastic. A couple of squirts before ride and after clean. Whole drivechain looks like new most of the time.

When it needs a good deep clean now I just spray with muck off chain cleaner. Hose down and re-ubs.

I Use basic for Android, really like it. Written a few apps as a hobby. Keeps the mind fresh and the maths current.

Nice suggestions again, thanks. Ill look into how I can do it and keep the scope manageable.

Thank you for your fair input.

Thanks, I personally like the North Leeds area. An area that lots can access after work that is under served in any guide book I have ever seen. Thats the main area I put it in. Like you said, the others I don’t particularly ride, so may include them later. (All the ones you have put forward B.A.NANA are great, bar Lancashire – Why would you go there! Ha!)

Thanks again for the suggestions, I have no issues with cheeky routes going on. After all for the routes to finally be designated bridle ways a prolonged use by bikes needs to be demonstrated.

@Junkyard and @martinHutch, please if you have them post them here, or email them to the website. In the first instance Ill sort the editing myself.

As for an upload form, yes that’s a good idea. And gives me the next area of code to work on. Linking Bootstrap forms to a MySQL database.

All the other suggestions I will look at and implement most, they are good thanks.

As for the point about the window being small on a smaller screen, yes I appreciate this, the map centre is set for a full screen. The responsive frame I have written to pack the map api code in then does the shrinking, but cant move the map centre. Sorry. Some of them work well, some need a small move to the right, or left.

Thanks for the helpful words, as for there being lots of sites like this, or ones that do it better. That’s not really my point here for doing it.

It started of as an idea to keep the routes that me and my mates did, a permanent store of the best ones. We couldnt use dropbox or onedrive how we wanted. The other side is to see if I could.

Once past this point tho it snowballed into something that I thought others might like to use/contribute to.

Spelling – Knowing me probably not!

The reason I have tried to limit it is to keep the scope down, I may extend it later. Its more of a time thing.

GPX also sounds like a nice idea thanks, Ill look to incorporate that.

Is the book I used to find most of my routes. It has the London road route described above it.

London Road is a great route, I have a Quo file for it if you want it. Can try and convert it to gpx tonight if needed. It is a corker, but may be short for what your wanting.

I much much prefer os mapfinder to, as I understand it, its replacement OS maps.

The ability to have better track recording is good. The knowledge that I’ve bought the tiles, and they are there is as I drive out more reasurring.

The interface is also clearer and sharper.

The biggest thing though for me is the zoom. I can zoom in to a much higher level on the 1 to 25 thou on mapfinder.

I had the same question, and asked them on twitter. They never got back.

Ended up getting one gratis as part of the excellent service I got from Tamed Earth bikes.

Give them a bell, but can’t vouch for cost.

Thanks for the advice, I don’t want to mount on my helmet as I have an old hope 2 on it that I really find it helpful pointing forwards. Don’t want too much on the helmet then.

    Cheers again

Yeah, I do always thinkbits weird that the tires sit in front of the depressions in the chain stays, that’s what made me think about 650 +

Thanks for the pics. Is that yours? How does it ride?

I can’t get a 2.35 Hans damf to fit the rear of mine.

Would love to see some pics of the 650 + bikes on here. Don’t have face book.
