Cougar, cheers. Its set via those settings to UK. When the computer logs off, it changes the log in screen to a US keyboard. When I log in it changes back to UK.

An odd quirk of computers. Ah well.

    Thanks

Since upgrading on the log in screen my computer changes from uk keyboard layout to us. With the effect that it switches some keys around. Could be this?

When I do log in it changes back to Uk. Bloody annoying!!

Lightwave is Crux’s walking/trekking brand. As apposed to its super expensive high end climbing kit.

Its great kit, well made and will last years. I’ve got a couple as well as an old crux tent. All great, uses for long periods of time all over Europe and the states.

What about the canal paths just after Hebden Bridge on the Tod side, where it had been falling in for ages? Have they remade this yet, I’ve moved away and tend to only visit Hebden now for a night out.

I have an app I wrote for android if you want to try it.

I wrote it for myself as a bit of a challenge, its not really good to publish.

It texts your grid reference to a mobile number you provide every 200 meters or so you move.

Its compiled on a generic key, so not really for sharing to lots of people. But like I say the offers there.

Its sad but this is the biggest thing that puts me off a bike ride.

I’ve very regularly had abuse, rubbish and tennis balls thrown at me whilst out riding. I would say I get shouted at every other ride at the moment, most often not even words.

Its sad that I have to accept that if I want the joy of the ride on the trails, I must get the shouting and rubbish of the ride on the road.

Le Blanc is the star of the show for me. He’s made me laugh at times. Think he’s really good.

I had a long think to myself about non permissive ways and thought that was not where I wanted to go with the website. As I hope that the website will develop for those working with groups and clubs more I thought I can not have routes linked that a group may not be able to ride.

I live in NW Leeds, I have slowly been putting together a website of rides, that has some routes near where I live. May help if you move there.

For me its a Buffalo active light shirt. Fantastic kit. Then also a crux rk37, a roll top Kevlar bag that does for many things from canoeing to ice climbing to packed lunches. Can’t wear it out, buy right buy once being a good motto for kit.

Get a white box stove from Back packing light.

Bike packing is all about fun, you’ll have a comedy time with it and have some stories for the next time.

For Max fun effect get a balloon bed too. Adventure Max then!

Same here for in the garage fettling kit radio on.

No where in the house is a sanctuary at any time of any day! I’d throw out the t.v if I could. Catch up children’s BBC has a lot to answer for

Crux RK30 Bag, best day bag for all round use, be it a flight bag, ice climbing or big days out mountain biking.

An old Buffalo Active Lite Shirt. Wear it every weekend.

For those mentioning Bomber. Radio 4 did a dramatization of it in the 90s. Was broadcast in real time. Think you can still buy it on CD.

    Was really well done.

Was just getting to the end of the thread thinking I must add Derek Robinson! Ha. Goshawk Squadron is brilliant. I spent far more than I care to admit buying the whole trilogy!

First of the many – Alan Morris.
    Brief Glory – Alex Revelle.
They fought for the sky – Quentin Reynolds
    Redcoat – Richard Holme.

    Hope this helps!

I really like my crank brothers Y16. Its a little larger than most, but it does give a different level of trail side tool. The parts are well made, the Y tools are strong and allow a good leverage.

I’m not always sure on the co2 cap, but other models don’t have it.

I would point out though, it us quite large and is only suitable if you ride using a bag.

Was brilliant. The fear in the eyes of many and the tension palpable.

Can not wait for next week.

Not from clothing, but from porous stone got oil out using pets at home chinchilla dust. It just soaked it all up, to be vacc’ed up after. Presume then a detergent could be used to emulsify the rest?

Im 6’2″ and have a 21 inch one. Fits well with a very short stem and wide bars.

The short stays do mean its quick off the mark and the sizing works well for getting the power down and through the rear wheel, no matter how steep the climb. I would say this is an unsung trait of the frame, it climbs very well, lots rightly say its fast, and will accelerate away when allowed to. The slack head on the 29er makes for a very confident high speed ride.

I find the stand over just on my tolerence with the 21″, and an uppy downy post is essential for me to throw the bike around and get it off the ground, which took some time to getting used to. This is my compromise though I feel to have a very comfortable bike on long days out.

Where have other people had corrosion as an issue? I’ve had mine 9 months now and havn’t seen any corrosion. Now I may be lucky, or it may be shares I have in WD40, however where should I be looking?

    Thanks

On the flip side, the new A level computing course states that all sorts of algorithms will be tested. Bubble sort, linear search, binary search, insertion sort etc. In 2 years time it’ll be on the GCSE spec.

If your applying for a job that I’d expect to test that A level and in some cases GCSE knowledge can be recalled and applied.
