I’ve had 2 years off a Switch in all sorts of conditions with no issues.

OP – What hubs did you have?

Completed & successful: shirt with one Lampard sig, non framed, seem to have gone for around £100 – £120 on ebay.

I bought a present from their ebay store and was happy with them (a RM delivery issue was sorted no hassle). So thumbs up from me.

Probably not as cheap as getting it from Creation, but a lot quicker.

    Top quality post!

I had to pay to have the same job done by “professionals”! Paid in advance too.

And then on the day the chap had to have an older more qualified woman with him as he had never done this before and so wasnt allowed to do it on his own!! I nearly keeled over.

Anyway – I wish I’d saved the cash and just done it myself.

So chapeau! If it happens again, I’m going diy.

Unless you really really want his shit then tell him to jog on and learn how stuff works.

He cant leave you neg feedback. Do not leave him any feedback until its all settled & refunded.

How long have you had it?

You downloaded Android 4.3 yet? (came out yesterday I think and downloads in the background).

What apps have you pushing stuff (google photos for example)?

This Q crops up here a fair bit. Generally it seems ok if normal paypal and a uk mail address – ie basically follow the rules (ship to registered address etc).

Obviously be cautiuos: but read this through to the (happy) end:

    http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/ebay-am-i-being-scammed

There’s been another couple since – I’ll see if I can find them,…

The photo and wording seem to be copied from here (march 2013):

Not sure if auction related to that seller.

Google “Tifosi Light Night Fototec” for different styles / frames.

Lenses clear enough for night riding. Dont go very dark in the brightest sun though.

    Have a look on here
    http://www.formula-italy.com/en/support-downloads

for the “exploded view diagram” for your model year.

I’d guesstimate it looks like part FD40129-20

If it is – then £19.58 here:

    Still no bargain though.

This is an entertaining read: especially the 50m step decision thing for a strike that starts Km’s above us.
    http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/weather/resources/askjack/archives-lightning-safety.htm

    As for bikes:
Q: Is someone riding a bicycle safe from lightning?

A: NO! This isn’t only wrong, it’s potentially dead wrong. If someone told you this, he or she might have been using the false reasoning on why you’re generally safe from lightning in a car. A car, with its windows up, can protect you from lightning because the lightning will follow the metal of the car to the ground. If the windows are down, the lightning could jump into the car. A car’s tires do not insulate it from the ground as you sometimes hear. A lightning bolt that’s jumped through a couple of thousand feet of air – which is a good insulator – isn’t going to be slowed by a quarter inch of rubber in a tire.

On the other hand – I’m still alive. So maybe they’re wrong.

Seals went in 2 calipers of mine – under the 2 year warranty luckily. I’m convinced (somewhat un scientifically) it was related to un-usually cold weather both times.

They’re specific to the frame. If the canyon postage is still crazy then these clones fit and work fine, although they are less bendable than the original which may be a bad thing.

I asked the Q due to this:

I’m sure if you posted “Anyone in Worthing could do us a favour for a Beer/….” then you’d be quids in.

Where is the bike? In the past there have been a few volunteers on here to go and check stuff out for members / buyers.

Are you VAT registered? That’s a 20% difference in most sales.

I’ve never had a single issue swapping NCD between car and van – but I always use the phone to talk to someone for the best deals (direct line, tesco van,….). Its usually slightly dearer to insure a van than a similar car (unless the van has more than 3 seats which get proper expensive).

Other stuff – I’d go with Ford. Lots of options / models. Parts. Advice. Aftermarket stuff.

Maybe a Connect LWB. Or a SWB transit. Both reasonable year / miles / quality for your budget.

Tax is based on CC. My 1.8 TDCI is £200.

Danny – I’ve only been a few times so no expert. But here goes: there are tiny – teeeeeny weeeeeeeeeny beaches in and near the city. The city is swamped with cruise ships.

Fortunatly, there are a few islands just off shore. I’d start with Mljet (short ferry from ****land) and mostly a national park.

#Edit – the next time you go you’ll probably move futher north (or south into montenegro).

##Edit2: Biking: we hired bikes locally each time we’ve been. The bikes were poor, the advise optomistic, but we go back and back.

    Ahh bugger.

I used to make a living from such leading edge stuff back in the day!

Anyway, alternatives – what’s your budget? You ok with used scanners? Windows/ Mac? How big a deal is it for you / family to have it perfect?

(Lastly – there are no miracles without negs).

Is it warmer than usual where you are? If so maybe too much fluid in there.

Any pads changed recently to non – OEMs?

Otherwise I think the German VAT man is going to be happy.

Lunge – I was in there this evening (Edinburgh branch) and the Pro3’s were 29.99 each. No sign of a special offer.

Did you have a voucher or something? Or a membership card?

For used: possibly better resale value.

    #Edit. Bastards.

I thought we could leave tags on here once we’d posted. But even that seems to have disappeared.

Anyway, that’s a proper poor show from wheelies.

Lastly – can we no longer leave tags? Wheelies review. Wheelies fair. Wheelies scam, etc.

You sure that’s the splitter he’s / you’ve bought- cause that’s never going to work for what you want. That’s for one device, 2 tv’s.

Note too that some devices get proper fussy about splitters.

Duggan – firstly we need to know the year and model of your brakes.

Shimano changed from a generic bleed system to a shimano specific funnel system around 2 years back. Folks will recommend a particular system for you, but until we know the year and model its all guesswork.

bomberman – any chance you can post the chaps paypal addy on here. And his email, or anything else he’s passed on to you.

I’ll report this post as a scam in case the OP is linking back to here (I dont know if it makes any difference like – but still worth a try).

And again, thanks for posting up about this, I may not have in your position, so chapeau and all that.

Well the “good” news from my mate at Hampden tonight is that it wasn’t as good as expected (which wasnt too high).

    Even his missus wasn’t appreciative.

Horatio – I’d consider myself a tad too over knowledged in the area of Ford DMFs and a tad under financed as a result. They appear to very VERY rarely fail on petrols (reason partially being as they are not on all models, and partially as they have a much easier life).

On diesels, well, it happens eventually.

Podium – do you honestly think either of these Macs exist?

To me the whole thing sounds like part 1 of a scam selling them on here.

bomberman – thanks for the heads up.

It was obvious from the OP that he is happy to steal, but not so obvious that he MAY have been aiming for an unsuspecting STW member.

If a recent one, then there’s a spacer that needs to be moved off centre so you can whack the outer bearing out. It all follows on from there.

#Edit – yes that’s the same for a Pro II
