    Happy birthday.

    What was I saying.

    Who are you again.

    Where’s my tablets?

FFs when I was your age…..

Seriosuly, ime, you are as old as you feel inside – before you look in the mirror. Personally I’m about 26 inside, 40 ish outside. At 70 outside I’ll be 35 inside. And so it goes on.

    Happy birthday!

Seriously. I try to help out chip in and you just edit the **** what ever you want.

That was a serious subject that got some quality responses and you chickened out.

I would say \/\/ anker but its a touchy subject. Come back soon!

Hope 3-bolt hubs and rotors anyone?

Now that you mention that – I’ve got some of those. And it’s partly why I’d never buy another “new” standard.

6 bolts. Thats it. Not too many. Not too few. Just about right. Still I’ll never buy anything centrelocked (sounds too close to brandlocked).

Tucker loves tucking into younger tucker. How young is your tucker….

Sadly if you post that it will probably get posted to my username or hungymfr’s.

They dont mention that you’re post will be tagged with someone elses name and vice versa. So I’m going to post a really pervy question – it will be tagged with your user name and v.v. So you may as well get in there first!

I’ll take that back. It looks like it working – but its not really. Posts disappear. All posts are marked read. All posts belong to someone else. Basically avoid.

Kind of like here again 🙂

Did you buy it from the Edinburgh store?

Yep – I think so I phoned 0131 something – and well I’m collecting it from the Meadows tomorrow or Friday afaik.

Thanks Martin. Very much appreciated. btw I hope the above nervous flutter doesnt paint you chaps in a bad way or anything!

This isnt helpful but I’ve never had one and I will never ever buy one – either wheel, hub, brake etc. I dont know why but yet another “standard” just leaves me cold. I may be missing some bargains but I’ve got enough going on!

Another STW classic set of tips! I’ll print those out and keep them somewhere safe.

    Good luck with the recovery.

In the meantime nobody’s getting near mine!

The xmi minis are brill! I got one (mean git) for my godsons birthday – he raved about it so I got him the second one. I got to hear them a few weeks later and was impressed. Ok they are seriously tiny. But impressive – esp for watching dvds. Still a lack of bass but fits in the palm of your hand.

So impressed was my misses she asked for one to use on hols with the laptop to watch dvds. Charges from usb. LOUD! Ok to good sound quality. £12 each iirc locally.

We went there for a month once. That is one beautiful place. Seriously poor financially but unbelieveable rich in wildlife, people and nature.

My other memory is that there are no real hospitals. But you can buy most meds by the side of the road. Cash is the prescription of choice.

I agree with leffeboy. Redundancy is tough and effects everyone differently – if they cant get through this problem together and cut each other some slack and offer support etc then it doesnt bode well for the future. Give her a break. And stop her spending!

Would you object if someone used normal paypal and paid the fees at their end?

    Otherwise even simplers:

I wouldn’t use paypal gift. And I wouldn’t buy from you judging from your tone.

    Plus one.

#Edit – ignore what I said. It was wrong so I’ve deleted it.

My “standard” car bleed kit works fine but I have to push it onto the nut below the nipple to get it to fit and seal. It’s flexi hose is 6×8.

So – in conclusion. I dont know. Soz.

Exchange rates need to better for us Brits! Sterling V Euros are not in our favour unfortunately.

I gotta say that sounds like bullshit to me. How come I can buy an SLX double chainset for £75 (converted from Euro by my Visa Card) from Germany and yet the exact same cheapest here is nearly £140 (converted by the importer I guess)? Unless someone at the importers is:

    a- having a laugh
b- got convinved by someone to buy the stuff and hedge the value of Stirling v Euro
c- UK supplied SLX stuff is made from mud resistant Krypronite?

Never done a long isolated bike trip but tramping (hiking in nz when we were there) we used the above tabs plus something to take the taste away – and we learnt that 2 different flavours in small bottles is better than big one of the same thing.

If you’re doing it more often then there are more high tech solutions which cost more etc.

Mine works perfect with a 1″ spanner and nearly as good with a 26mm socket (a bit loose).

Just one thing to be aware of if flying with budget airlines they may not let you take your shopping onboard – you may have to pay extra and / or put it in the hold. Unless it fits in your “one piece of carry on” backpack or whatever.

My aldi(?) ones just get bunged in a 30deg wash with non bio. Seem fine since.

    Otherwise read the label?

Or is this some sort of trick question?

I got Pro 3’s (XC3 – 24h iirc) on 4.2d’s and they seem very light to my lardy ass, whilst I did get them cheapish in some clearance sale if buying again I’d go for more convetional Hope’s. Only problem with them was a badly dinged rear and the rim could only be got from hope (through a shop).

I reluctantly went along with missus. Learn about the love scene and cheered up.

But I thought it was great. I took it as about obsession, mental illness and being delusional.

I’m not in favour of this spreading of the ashes on a hilltop idea

I agree. My dust will be specking a relatively unknown hill. In an out of the way spot.

IIRC we got to the top of Schieallon it’s covered in tooth enamel. Apparently it doesnt degrade like our other bits.

Is there any point to the photo of the goats head being cut off?

Of course there is! It’s part of the passing of life. You’re going to **** off at some point. Someone will make some sandwiches (from a dead pig!) It’s what we do, just more in the open that’s all. I hope it’s not offended. I did try and warn etc etc.

Stanfree – I like that a lot! I know it’s tough but younger generations involved, etc. You can remind them later if they evey become Welsh supporters or something!
