or your lbs for a proper fix.

Getting it near right with a spanner is a ball ache.

Some opinions of that very Q here (you may have seen this already):
    http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17062042

I got an XC just before Christmas and think it’s up to most / all Scottish trail centre stuff – probably not proper DH though. However those there Alps could be the fly in the ointment! No idea on the AM sorry.

It’s firmer feeling (or maybe that just the lack of bobbing) than the Commie Super 4 it replaces – and has no problems with jumps!

Is there anyone localish to you that has one and could let you have a shot at either?

I posted on here and stanfree did a swap with me for a couple of hours before I hit the buy button.

The other thing is if you buy one and dont like it Canyon do a 30 day money back no quibble thing. I’m not sure if you’d have to pay return postage though.

    😯

IF the voltages and polarity are correct – theres a good chance that the + pin on the charger side wont be touching the inside of the battery connector.

I presume you’ve not actually plugged it in?

Sorry for the delay compkiler – I just noticed that Q for me.

I’m no expert but that Giant at 45% off looks good to me if they still have your size.

But that’s kind of gone off from your OP and budget a bit though!

Really the Q is now: What race hardtail for £1000 – which might get more of a response and some more knowledgeable folk. And work on the fitness etc etc.

Cheaper one has a plastic handle. Apart from that they look v similar.

That’s bull about the Scraeder – I use mine with both and its fine.

Yep they screw on. The hose is a great idea as it stops you pulling pushing on a presta valve.

Dunno if this helps but the alloy one from Stoner above is available for around £20 if you shop around.

Stoner’s Lezyne here too – great little thing.

The output voltages are 4.3 on the airbike and 8.1 on the dx. Does this mean that it will take longer or does it mean it will never reach full charge?

That wont work. I doubt it would catch fire or anything but it just wouldnt charge.

    Smudge is probably the man.

Orange broadband was voted second worst provider by Which readers in this months mag. Worst of all for tech support. Just for balance like. I dont use them btw.

    Does it matter?

You can probably tell by now I’m a Murdoch lover – but how he chose to defend this in court was – “lets discuss every aspect of your mums health and hopefully you’ll be so embarrassed that you’ll settle early”. Which they didnt. Good on them.

dont really feel that sorry for her !

Neither do I – but the reporting of her families health and hacking their phones to get the story was pretty low.

Eh? You been reading a tabloid again?

Her share is a fraction of the 600k. She took the case on her mums behalf. The share she did get is “dedicated to protecting her children from the likes of NoW”.

#Edit – as I read it the main reason for the big payment is the intrusive and abusive and long running reporting of her mums illness.

I did this with my nephew – a very different set of circumstances tbf. It was “free” but also cost a heck of a lot for many folks – who had never met him. Him and me have the “bestest” bond since. I’d do it again no questions.

    http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/new-bike-build-with-a-difference/page/4

#Edit – getting him involved in the earliest stages – CAD – then seeing every step afterwards and choosing colours etc was the clincher.

    In a word. Yes.

I was trying to think of a parallel – closest I got was the price of fish – but then its not their fault.

dyl- that oily residue could go either way. Thing is when its out of the full assembly its impossible to pull it 100% straight on the workstand so it might get more oil on it than normal. But – possibly – its ’cause its new and will bed in. Or its a symptom of the common leaky lower damper seal.

I’d use it for a good few rides – then check the oil colour that drains out of the lowers. If it’s got oil from the damper in then you’ve got a problem.

    Hope that makes sense.

their will always be tho’se who just dont care how there spoken or written words make them look dim in the eyes of they’re friends/ colleagues / associates. And stuff.

On the other hand “and stuff” really gets my goat!

That – and stuff. Covers it all. 😉

If it was mine – I’d disconnect the aerial and play a dvd. If that still caused a problem – I’d try the same thing in a cool room – or the garage. If it is temp related – it could be some hairline gap / crack kind of issue that gets worse when warm.

I doubt if its due to external influences. Possibly (if freesat) from a sat dish (which is powered) but not really an aeriel. Your PC (desktop) will use a very similar power supply unit – is that complaining?

So for £350 you could have 2 bikes? That’s hard to argue with. And I guess if you dont really get on with it or fancy something really racey later on you could probably sell the bokor with hardly any loss.

I’ve looked at the spec on the Halfords site and the review on BikeRadar – the spec is now very different. Seems to have gained travel, a through fork and got a lot heavier.

Still – if that’s your budget – you could do a lot worse.

Is the torque wrench 1/4″ or 3/8″?

Screwfix do a decent 3/8 set for about a £10.

Remember some torque wrenches dont work on reverse threads.

Are the pedals fittted to the outsides of the cranks and not hitting the frame?

Sorry – not helpful – but I managed to fit pedals inside the cranks once with the bike upside down.

    Well done fella!

I’ve no expert advice other than asking you to provide more info for your question: what type of race, what level did you enter (fun, veteran….), how old are you, do you already own a hardtail, that kind of thing…

But once again – well done!

Oh – and Halfords distributed bikes on here get their lovers and haters so take it with a pinch of salt either way.

Lazy bugger – do your research ! 😉

According to Which – online (costs £1 for a month btw): a AAA Miele W5740 costs £825 upfront and £22 pa.

In the same test an AAB Beko WME7247W costs £264 upfront and £24pa (3rd most reliable WM brand after Miele and J Lewis).

There are other things like noise, programs etc. Otherwise – subscribe to which. Or find a better trolling topic!

#Edit – I dont own either btw (and dont really care). Just felt like googling something useless.

Forgot to add – the instructions on how to pump it up and not spray yourself with oil, and also if you want to diy it are here:

    http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/diy-joplin-top-seal-head-removal-fitting-tool

    But honestly – call 2pure.

    couldashouldawoulda
    Free Member

Your best bet is sending it back to 2pure – even if out of warranty. They are proper good at sorting these out (I only found this out after I learned how to completely dissasemble mine 🙁 )

The interim solution is to pump it back up with a shock pump – but that will be a short term solution and the required frequency will increase as it gets older.

Otherwise the seal in the head is probably gone. DIY fixable but you need to make the required tool.

Basically – ring 2pure with your nice hat / voice.

Weight over the front (as you always do!) go faster and most importantly clinch ass muscles as tight as possible. For some reason the 2 go together.

Well I did say it was busy. He might still be there.

So we have a clever spammer – one helpful link followed by a random to another garage 500 miles away.
