    Cheers, some good suggestions.

I’m looking at a few hours riding so family things are okay but some mum and son things would be good. She’s seen the pond trail but it’s only 1 mile long.

We’ve had a few walks foiled because they ended up not being pram friendly to. We have a carrier but he’s too young for one of them and my partner doesn’t like wearing the front carrier.

looks to me like the d1 has become the d2 etc and the frame colours are the same so not expecting a massive difference there just a mild price hike which I can’t blame them for.

I wish i’d ordered a medium D3 back in March when they were on offer.

I was tempted by GTA V but then I read the trustpilot reviews and decided it wasn’t worth it

All it really means is there *should* be an ICU bed available for you.

Personally I think it was a mistake. I don’t trust the general public not to take the piss, all the riding hot spots (and parks, beaches etc) will be packed and we’ll be back in lockdown before the month is out.

And my interpretation is meeting friends/family in public is fine maintaining 2m but exercising isn’t as your breathing effort is increased.

Most custom frame builders will refuse to lacquer a raw frame as it will still rust and flake. Btr had a bit of a story about it on their instagram post a few months back

Mine is 6x4m timber framed, metal clad on 3×2′ concrete pavers. It’s insulated, alarmed, powered and has data and I expect cost me around £4k including a work bench, storage shelves and commercial plastic storage boxes.

I asked for a 21 year old bottle of whiskey. I found out I don’t really like whiskey so now have a 35 year old bottle.

Paypal only covers items that are posted with tracking, anything else can be claimed back.

I nearly lost a motorbike this way. I spoke to paypal and they said i’m not covered, so I offered to knock 10% off for cash and he said no. It wasn’t an expensive bike either.

That just sounds like something was wrong in the first place. HTII cranks should stay put for a long time, but if you’re be ridden them to the point of falling off then the spline likely ended up damaged, which just leads to more issues, possibly resulting in bodging how you install them

Well its saved me buying 2x new sets of cranks. They still work and the bearings are still correctly preloaded so whats the issue? Yes the splines may be a little worn, possibly from not pulling the arm off square but there no rock or play between the shaft and the arm.

I had a few crank arms falling off, using the OP’s technique stopped it. The both bolts clamp the arm to the shaft rather than the shoulder on the preload screw.

Those steel plates are really inefficient and not worth bothering with. I ended up with a plug in mokka pot as I couldn’t find a solution for out Hotpoint hob.

edit: like this but it doesn’t get used now since I got an aeropress as we have hardwater. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coopers-of-Stortford-Stainless-Percolator/dp/B07Y3YSKRF/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3O6TC0UBJKDPF&keywords=percolator&qid=1581349381&s=home-garden&sprefix=perc%2Ckitchen%2C148&sr=1-4

We’ve used it for 7 years now and it was fitted in the house when we moved in. I don’t like the ring select button and I regularly end up turning them all off.

The left two rings have been playing up on ours so we’ve been looking to replace it. I’ve decided on an Ikea one for around £270. I was looking at a higher priced ikea one but something put me off it. (the cheaper one has +/- buttons, the higher priced one is a slide. When we tried out a slide in a shop it was really hard to get a specific setting. I think it was a highend hotpoint one with 40 increments.

We only tend to use a few settings. One ring has boost for boiling water quickly, everything else is usuallly on 7 for frying or 3 for simmering, more increments would be nice.

“Coppice must drive his like he stole it, because that’d get about 850 miles worth. Current Transit Connect is about £70”

I have a full length roof rack fitted which doesn’t help. Its also either mainly short cold commutes or trotting around Europe with a kayak and bikes on the roof.

    Done.

My partners Cousin went through a similar thing. He had the proton therapy in Florida, I think it came back again but was treated in the UK. It has had some slight affects but he seems to have recovered well. Whilst looking for the article, i found that the UK now has the technology too,

I’ve got the same as Mick’s old van. I don’t think plasterboard fits in between the arches. I can get 4-5 sheets in if I move the drivers seat forward and fit diagonally to the passenger rear corner. It has marked the roof a little so is quite tight.

Depends what is classed as a service? Just oil and filter or fuel filter/pollen filter/gearbox oil/brake fluid/new coolant etc

I had my head gasket done and they re-used the existing coolant and just topped up with de-ionised.

I’ve got an early SV650 with 11k on to sell, i’m considering putting it into a classic auction as they seem to fetch good money.

I actually don’t think its a bad time to sell. There’s not a lot else on the market and if people aren’t out riding they’re inside bike shopping or planning for summer trips. There’s some logic in buying a bike now so you have time to get it ready for spring.

My 1st car was a red s1 106 rallye and i’ve still got it 15 years on. I would have been greatful for all the panels off that one but it adds to the cars story.

I like Chris Harris, he’s a proper car geek. I dont mind the other 2 either but they need to stop wrecking cars for comedy value as its just not funnny.

I get the point about the circumference being constant therefore the distance/revolution is the same but if you think of gearing as mechanical leverage then the distance between the hub center and the ground is reduced so the leverage/gearing must reduce also. Therefore the work done to get that full revolution has changed.

In the square example surely the gearing must change? It would take a lot more work to get it to turn.

Thanks for the responses, I’ve gone with ajaj’s link. I had seen it but then saw the one I posted a little cheaper. The wifi extender looks alright but I want to plug an old desktop into it to and it didn’t look like it supported that.

I only have toolstation’s penetrating oil which never seems to do a lot. I’ve no experience of Plusgas but if you have that i’d try it first, if that doesn’t work try the DOT4.

    coppice

Ah, that explains it better. Have you tried soaking it with plusgas from the other side then? Looks like a steel bolt in an Alu axle.

Again from a youtube video i’ve seen and used brake fluid as a penetrant, not very nice for your hands or paint but has worked well for me on a motorbike centre stand axle.

    coppice

From what you said about trying to drill it, it sounds like the whole axle is spinning which is the main problem with any of the above solutions. You need to figure out how to stop that, do you have a picture of the other side?

Hammer in a T50 Torx and yank it, dont gradually load it.

I also learnt a tip recently through youtube about packing it with coarse grinding paste (for lapping valves in) to help fill the gaps.

Couple of links to get you started. The areas are Odenwald and Spessart.

    https://www.mtb-geo-naturpark.de/rundstrecken

    https://www.spessartbiken.de/spessartbiken/de/tourennetz/

I’ve got this book to but not ridden any out of it and it’s in Deutsch so only really bought it for the GPX.

It’s a big place though, can you narrow down where you’d like to go?
