Assuming you can still get them now the new deore m6000 range is out, i’d hunt fro some M615s. I’ve had 3 pairs for 4 years or so, faultless. Great brakes.

My steel plug is not that heavy and is one of the first bikes i’ve ridden since the 90s that has really a springy steel feel

I’m sure the alu cookers were ok, but they look generic like a trek or anything else. And they geometry was fairly conservative as well.

    The dusters were great bikes.

I love charge but the move to nearly all aluminium a few years back was disappointing, especially when they were going plus before (nearly) anyone else.

The new range looked great. Shame it’s taken so long to come out.

Non issue. Budget might depend on what’s offered.

Not replying as johnw says is a pain though

I tend to ride tyres until they are fit for the bin and then marvel how amazing it is to have some grip when the new ones go on. Feels like I’ve earned it that way!

Watch Cargo on netflix last week (Martin Freeman – straight to Netflix as they do now). Well worth a watch.

Wasn’t it Atwill who criticised it for being too easy last year and was practicising it on hardtail or am I completely mistaken in my old age?

I see gwin has posted he’s recovering from a dislocated thumb last weekend so he’s happy just to be on the bike. Makes it all more interesting

I believe the first thing the council would do is go through the rubbish for said items you have found, and follow the trail. So report to them and if they want to prosecute leave it to them to sort via the police.

Arrived late today. In a box with no packing at all. Miracle they are unmarked.

But they are awesome to look at. Great weight am seem ideal. Not boost 140mm. They’re going on my brothers bike I’ll report back when fitted.

    V1 frames are 149 aren’t they?

And price new means many won’t sell second hand as not worth it.

Seatpost in vice and twist is not what I would be doing on a carbon frame. I’d be wary you don’t snap that carbon doing that.

I  got the XC one and think it looks pretty cool. It’s a great fit – nice and snug on my big head. My favourite lid ever (from a sample of only 4!). £15 well spent

Wonder what it rides like? Had a very early saracen zen with square stays and it was quite compliant. Rode a mate’s old chameleon around a little and found it really stiff.

Looks nice though and price is on par for others.

Demoed one at Haldon a few weeks back and thought it was ace. Shame I was so unfit as couldn’t push it as hard as it wanted to go. It is springy frame.

Find the exact opposite. 6ft 2 and 11 stone and find nearly all pads are massive in medium and even small are not that great a fit.

Drove up from Devon on Tuesday, first visit. Well worth the 1hr 45minutes trip each way.

The climb for the trails were, er… fun. Plenty of chat as I averaged 3mph up those.

Superb trails I thought, the logging makes the place seem really odd though, must be strange for the locals (PJay!)

Super excited about the start of the season

Wonder if 29ers will make more of a breakthrough. Some seemed to ride them on trend such as Hart last year when he admitted he hadn’t used it enough to feel comfortable.

Either way I cannot wait. Hope Atherton stays injury free too.

Not that much I don’t think

No idea on carbon wheels but they’re skinny for the nu school crowd. But carbon is light and xc will love em

Mattocs have improved year on year and are under 300 new at crc with BC discount

2015 trance frame is good but they changed it in 2016 and 2018 didn’t they? Either way it’s a good frame but not sure why you’d get. Loads of em sell on eBay have a look at sold prices

Have you tried calling planet x? They’ve answered first time I have called them before.

For all the bad talk about them I don’t see how ANY company would put a frame out with that dent. It’s pretty noticeable and not like a tolerance issue

Very annoying.. It lists it on the spec but nowhere does it say it is included. Poorly worded I grant, but I dont think it says clearly anywhere it comes with it.

Depends on weight and box size but should be able to box it well enough into something less than 3m in circumference so you can then use any online quote generator. Would expect under £20

The pace issues were some time ago I think. I’d choose that. Looks ace and ideal as an allrounder
