I don’t get it either. I read the benefits etc but think its largely pointless. But you only have to look at new bikes to see nearly all are boost. Other than lower end models or those with swap dropouts.

Cotic – only the bfe but guess that’s around having ability to upgrade from 26/650b older parts

    Stanton – swapouts so both

    Airdrop – boost

Bird – all boost except oldest model hardtail. Assume that’ll change soon

    Ragley – all boost

    Nukeproof – all boost

Non boost is surely niche now weeksy? As someone with two bikes not boost even I’d say that it needs to be boost to be selling at number

I know you can’t get a 29er in the rear of the V2 and changes made don’t appear to have changed that.

Love mud wheels from sonder are decent if quite heavy.

Forks, if buying new I’d probably go for some McQueen’s by x fusion

V2 is minor tweaks and new paint from the V1, the new bike they are releasing details of today would be the V3. Be nice if new one took 29″ wheels, but incoming V3 is the reason the last V1s are so cheap!

Version 2 (the ones on sale) is a little different to v1, bit longer and with XL size. They handily show the V1 geometry under the V2 specification.

Frame was £349 down to £300 for a while. This is a genuine bargain in my book.

Bottom bracket is quite low, not sure running it non-plus would work but worth a try.

Couldn’t sell mine with serviced recon golds, deore groupset and brakes, Thomson finishing kit, charge spoon, new tubeless tyres on shimano wheels for £300. So less than that.

Not worth it. Plenty of nice 135 hubs to build a light wheelset. Just choose appropriate rims.

Having just spent half a day with Tony @ Evolve MTB a skills session is well worth the outlay.

Geex is right though. Practice and time is going to improve you more than anything.

A company that can’t answer a sizing or geometry question on a titanium bike (assuming they are pricey then) is poor form. Move to someone who wants your business

I’d go cheap stem and decent bar for £100.

    Funn 35mm stem, £25
    Chromag fubars, £65

Both at crc. Have that combo on my hardtail, love the shape of the bar.

Pretty sure they didn’t launch them in the end. Shame. Were ahead of the game on the plus trend and before that the steel range of plugs and cookers.

I do love the look of the bitmap. Anyone got one?

Bigwig is just over frame price of a Pace. Cheaper than cotic and Stanton.

The big al looks great for 299. That’s a great price these days for rrp

I wish the new owners all the best, especially if they can keep a bricks and mortar shop going too.

If you’ve not got a refund on an unrealistic deal pre liquidation I’d say get in contact with your bank quick.

If you aren’t out of pocket but ordered something at cost or below, I’d be thinking where that money or order should be going based on more than just price.

Can’t see merchandise selling if they only do superbike prices/models. And hard to see how the bikes will sell regardless of results if they don’t do a cheaper alu version or have a complimentary trail bike (yt nailed it with jeffsy) which people can aspire to.

Anyway, genuinely interesting to see how they do. Really keen to see if gee can make it back to the top 5 regularly. Think Rachel can ride an Apollo and get top 5 most rounds.

That makes the 529 very appealing

The marin or onza look the best deals to me.

The whyte will be a great bike too, but it’s not boost rear is it? I’d suggest buying a bike with the best frame possible, and that would be with newest standards, so upgrades are easier. Whyte looks like Quick Release?

Was the 2016 boost? New 659b and 29er 2018 models are now around for £1099 So that won’t help.

So looks like the alloy version of the 29er is still 2018s version, decent geometry only for carbon for now. Annoying!

    coomber

Wowsers.. the new geometry looks spot on. Even if it might make me a giant. 460 seattube and 485 reach in xl but now a 505 reach, 485 seattube XXL which looks ideal for me.

£2099 starting price, seriously tempting. Bet they sell out fast.

Johnw1984 was that the last one they had in grey on Facebook? Was surely tempted. As a happy owner still of your old aeris if you end up not getting on with the pace give me a buzz!
