    Yeah, was joking.

    Are they good?

Been a long time user of Magura early on and used shimano more lately.

Levers are nice on Magura brakes, nice contact area., I’ve never had a set of Magura leak, never boiled a set either.

Nice modulation but I’ve not yet tried the Mt trails in earnest.

Fan of saints too but I’ve had numerous leak on me and I’ve managed to boil a set, just, but it was OK after it rested.

    Mismatched calipers

They’re Magura MT Trail, they’re meant to be “mis-matched” twin pot rear 4 pot up front.

Generally I don’t bother washing my bike but when I did, I took a decking sprayer, filled with water.

Pump it up, spray. Fresh crap comes off easily.

    They’re about £12?

Put it on an sd card and pop it round to the neighbours. I think you’re doing enough by allowing them to use your security system.

I just quit a well paying job with no other job to go to, because it was the most toxic place I’ve ever worked and was ruining my mental health.

    I did that too, aged 41. :D

Best thing I ever did. Jib in my well paid corporate nonsense job. Still saying that 7 years later.

I took the cash, effectively the company I worked for bought me a car.

Sold it for £1500, mine all mine. Mondeo, did well, 145,000 miles, nothing ever went wrong. Not even the clutch or the sub frame.

I then went and got another. Etc.

I tried a few wtb saddles recently, unopened, on a stool!

WTB Volt 150mm wide won, comfortable to me anyway and reduced to £30 from £55 at crc.

Also tried A WTB rocket and a WTB pure.

WTB as they have a Handy arse width chart.

The problem with android is that manufacturers sometimes make low cost phones for a budget where as Apple control their manufacturer and spec decent ram etc so they run nicely.

If you were to spend a similar wedge of cash on an android handset that Apple want for one of theirs, you’d get an amazing phone.

Having used some cheapo android handsets in the past, and suffered laggy apps etc, I ended up then only buying decent handsets, moved away from Apple as I needed / wanted a dual sim too.

I’ve bought decent end to high end Sony mainly and I’ve been more than happy,

You should buy the best helmet you either can afford or are prepared to pay for.

I wouldn’t want to be regretting anything regarding my helmet while I’m doing an over the bars pirouette.

On my over the bars pirouette manoeuvres, I can recall thinking,

    Body armour, check
    Elbow pads, check
    Knee pads, check
    Helmet, check
    Gloves, check
    It’ll be fine.

I certainly wouldn’t want to be thinking

helmet, wish I’d bought the better one, cross

Momentum 2.0’s here, wireless, noise cancelling, beautifully made, lovely sound quality. Brilliant, but not cheap.

Bose are better at noise cancelling though but the Sennheisers sound more natural and therefore better imo. Also I felt the bose exhurted a weird positive pressure into your ears, very odd indeed.

If a shop is only using Hermes, I move along, swiftly. I’ve had stuff off them before, well, should have, but as I couldn’t arrange collection or a redelivery, it never got delivered. I still don’t know what it was or who from.

Only ones I’m happy to use are Collect +, dpd, click and collect at argos at a push are the only ones I’d consider.

    You’d be mad not to.

You should regret the things you’ve done, not the things you haven’t.

Imagine how you’d feel if you checked and your size was no longer available….

I’ve used some Sennheiser SE425’s for a few years but upped them to SE535’s a few months ago,

The 425’s were good but the 535’s are simply amazing.

Successfully took Hewlett Packard this way. Paid up and got my costs back. £2.5K

Successful took my mates wife to too (named director as he’d gone pop once). £4k

    :D

I’ve no qualms about taking a non payer to court. I’m not bothered if they won’t give me any further work, especially if they’re rubbish at paying.

Looks like I’ll be using it again for a contractor who owes me £3K :x

Easyjet, you are allowed up to 50kg but no single bag can be over 32kg. *

Assuming you book in a bag for the hold anyway.

    *unless it’s changed.

    I’ve seen younger there,

Red straight from the uplift drop off turn around point flows better than the blues in my opinion, to the place where everyone seems to stop for a catch up anyway. Then go blue to the bottom as a starter run or two.

Ive just had to get used to varifocals! 8O

Seems for years while I’ve thought my head I’d pointing forwards, it’s been slightly looking left and my eyes have been looking slightly right so now, as well as varifocals, I’ve also got to keep my head further right than it feels to be correct, just to look straight ahead or it goes a bit fuzzy.

fox are supposedly relaunching it as a coil focused brand.

thought as much, there’s nowt wrong with coils, much better than air IMO, heavier sure but way nicer.

Suppose Ohlins and Cane Creek have sparked the coil fork thing again, lets hope so. I still miss my U-Turn revelations.

great place for advice and servicing.

Spot on. Just a note, if you pay the extra for suspension settings, they dont set the suspension up. They just tell you where to put it. I found this out when my bike tried to kill me at Farmer Johns right after a rear shock service, no rebound at all. I just assumed they’d dial it in. other than that, spot on.

Still on my 7 day Zwift trial, loving it. 2 days left.

Elite direto smart trainer now here and it’s so much better than my basic trainer was, and that wasnt bad.

I simply can’t wait to get back on it. Every day do far, first few to get my thick head around it but now just riding for 45 mins to an hour at a time, I rarely managed more than 25 minutes on trainer Road.

I’ve basically told my riding pals not to expect to see me out riding trails until Spring. I’m a Zwifter now.

Elite Direto here linked to Zwift, as of last week.

It’s brilliant, I can’t keep away from it.

I had a bog standard cheapo turbo for years with cadence thing and a hrm and tried to use TrainerRoad, too dull for me, Zwift and a smart turbo however, simply brilliant, if a tad expensive. Loads quieter too.
