yellow jersey looks cost effective. Think I’ll be with them rather than Snowcard this year.

    Thanks.

520D tourer here, love it to bits, terrific car, 2010, F11 shape, love it to Italy twice last year, fully loaded,. Once with 3 DH bikes on it once with the family, it was an absolute joy to drive too and not once did I feel pee’d off getting back in to drive it.

Only thing I’ve that has gone so far is one air bag on the rear suspension, the rest has been consumables.

Got it with 60k on clock, now its got 95k after two and a bit years.

Perfect balance of economy, power, progress and comfort in my mind. Love the 8 speed auto too. It does its job way better than I could with a manual box.

    We had to say goodbye.

Stroke, possibly could have been treated but at hos age it seemed far kinder to let him go.

We are of course absolutely devastated, the hole left is massive.

Looking back through photos thoughtless makes me very happy, he went to lots of places with us, multiple holidays, days out, long walk usually involving water and or mud which he loved.

Home grown US idiots with gun fetishes are far more successful at killing Americans that ISIS, wonder why US government spend trillions on targeting ISIS etc then?

I’m not at all surprised and sadly, I’m caring even less as the Americans don’t seem to care themselves or they’d change their gun laws surely?

Mass shootings in the US: there have been 1,624 in 1,870 days

remember showing the Lads the Gravestone near the Reservoir of the Mountain Biker who crashed & paid the ultimate price.

    I remember being told!

I recall the route to Dawin tower and the route off it to a certain extent but then the route over the moors then to the reservoir, I’m at a loss, anyone help out please.

Boss ride BTW, remember it well, 40+ riders ragging it down San Marrino one after the other…boss.

I have MT Trails on two bikes which is a 5 front.

Me too, splendid brakes. Just on 1 bike though.

I used to uses Magura Louise freeride brakes years ago they were great, never leaked, never boiled in the Alps when all around me were suffering big style.. Then some louise bats,  still got them, years later, no leaks, seals perfect.

I changed as I think Magura lost their was some years ago but they’re back in terrific form again.

    Magura do superb brakes.

Thermal wellies are the answer to outdoor work in these temperatures,  plus I wear waterproof gortex lightweight kecks (Burghaus) to keep the wind off.

Wouldn’t be without mine, that and a proper helmet liner and my winter cycling gloves and I’m good to go.

    Toasty warm

No such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

I got an Astell & Kern AK70 6 months ago.

Coupled with my Sennheiser SE535’s or Audio Technica M70x’s,  it’s stunningly good. Way better than any phone or mp3 player I’ve ever had.

I would say that a good mp3 isn’t that distinguishable from a hi res file so maybe don’t get to set on rebuying all your music until you’ve tried a few comparisons

    Interesting,

I uploaded the (Invalid) file onto Strava, no issues

Garmin works with Strava, Garmin doesn’t work with Garmin. Splendid.

Tried Bel Air (years of them)

    Tried Spoons (a season)

Now on WTB Volt. got the wider version for my wider version arse.

Very happy on it. 2 hours road ride and only started getting slightly uncomfortable in the last couple of mile (1st decent distance ride this year too)

Generally I’d expect it as m above sea level (it should be to OS coordinates (usually)) AOD

It should say in the legend may also go on about scale factor , nowt to do with scale of the plan, more to do with the OS fudge factor to cram the UK into the errrm UK.

You are right, 10.40 wold be 10m and 40cm (10.4m)

    clean off fresh much
    not ruin yer bearings

+1 for the Albert dock Premier inn. Baltic Fleet pub not far too, great crack and beer in there. In fact the whole Baltic Triangle bit is great.

Parking might be a problem since the car park burned down the the week

+1 for Museum of Liverpool too. on the Pier Head.

The Bfe for who I aspire to

It’s true but I’ve a DH bike for that sort of stuff

Carry a towel, use it to brace your chest when you might sneeze, laugh, jolt, cough etc.

Avoid laughter. It’ll hurt like buggery.

Remember to breath deeply in and out every so often to exhale properly and to ensure you don’t end up with a lung infection.

    6 weeks you’ll be right.

Sat in the back seat of a car of a friend of a friend leaving the front passager seat for my friend, for the trip home.

They both (my friends and his friend the driver) went for a pee so I decided I’d best go too, when I went to get back in, my friend was in the back do I jumped in the front.

10 minutes later, massive crash, went off the road and hit a tree. I was the only one to survive.

Can’t help thinking, that pee saved me. 27 years ago.

    Lizard skin northshore.

    Boss grips.

    I wouldn’t call them

    Proper chunky monkeys

cos that would be offensive, apparently. But they are chunky.

Towbar mounted rack. We took 3 Dh bikes to Italy on it.

It survived. It was great actually but I’ve said we need 1 on the roof this year. 3 was too much for it.

Worked in landfill gas extraction industry for years, clawed my way through contractors then a big waste management company, gas extraction, power gen, rocs, even remember the old NFFO stuff. Crawled up the company ladder then jumped off when you lot started recycling everything. I was nearly at the top too.

Still, never looked back. Built a load of wind farms and then hydros but they were all in Scotland and I wanted home.

House has solar panels too. :D

I recently went through this wider saddle buying process.

I purchased a number of saddles I thought might be suitable and basically left them in their packaging and put them in a kitchen chair and sat on them for a bit.

Sent the unsuitable ones back. Crc refunded me.

Wtb saddles as I like their site bone chart.

A while ago, switched, made the classic error of going from an i-phone that cost many hundreds of pounds to an android that cost many tens of pounds.

Realised my error and got a decent spec android phone, never looked back.
